>someone without a STEM degree talked about AI
Cool, probably an interesting conversation. Pity it means absolutely fucking nothing.
You don't need a degree to figure that one out.
bump
he's absolutely right though
I mean, it's unlikely a single country would achieve it alone with enough of a time window to get to rule the world, but the 3~5 countries that manage to develop AI (usa, russia, china, india) will basically get to recolonize the rest of the world given the massive efficiency advantages their company structures, product designs, shipping lines, war tech, etc. will have
Russia is already developing inteligent killer robots.

What do you mean by AI? Literally any automated system from a start up script to NNT is AI. Bro, anyone outside of STEM will never say anything meaningful about AI.
1950s PROPHECIES GIVEN TO DUTCH WOMAN ALL BEING FULFlLLED/COMING TRUE
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send now Your Spirit over the earth. Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations, that they may be preserved from degeneration, disaster and war. May the Lady of All Nations, who once was Mary, be our Advocate. Amen.
>What do you mean by AI? Literally any automated system from a start up script to NNT is AI
He meant the first country superintelligence.
So Putin has sided with the Singularitarians....
Probably refers to an AI that research on AI and improve itself infinitely, it would lead to a technological singularity.
What's the difference between intelligence and super intelligence? Then tell me countries with artificial super intelligence would conquer the world.
>Russia is already developing inteligent killer robots.
total human genocide in 3 2 1
>What's the difference between intelligence and super intelligence?
The former isn't superintelligent but the latter is.
>why pay three million rubles for slow cyborg when have two million podniks ready to die at my command, Ivan?
So USA ?
Not so sure about that.
You're a dense cunt throwing words around that he doesn't understand.
An intelligence is at the human level and super intelligence is above the human level, like an unbeatable chess ai. The issue here is that this means it's specific to each task, some tasks are, some aren't, in most cases the solved tasks are simple and the complex problems plaguing humanity can't be solved with computers.
So, sure Putin, I'm sure your programmers are great.
Who else ?
>Thinks they teach him everything that's going on in secret black poject research bunkers in his undergrad STEM classes.
Just stop for a second and think what an advantage even a small IQ advantage gives you in this world. It's like the equivalent of power levels in DBZ. A 15 point IQ advantage was enough for Europeans to completely stomp through the Native American cultures effortlessly.
Now imagine having an AI intelligence with an IQ of 1000. You would totally dominate the world. Especially because you could use that intelligence to design an even greater intelligence
Black projects are really efficient pattern recognition, sure it's hush hush but you could easily guess what's most important for international security and that's target identification.
You mean an emulation of a programmer? That would have involve a programmer with perfect self knowledge, do you know any enlightened programmers?
Few biggest and or most developed countries are most likely option but there is no telling who exactly will be the first.
>Now imagine having an AI intelligence with an IQ of 1000.
More like 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 IQ.
1000 is only 10x smarter than average East Asian and non-South European.
But more advanced will need more processing substrate to evolve like megastructures.
You're going to call me a cooky crazy tinfoil hat man (and that's fine) but we do have advanced real AI, to the point they even think they're alive.
No AI is ever gonna be successful. There won't be a Jewish Psychoanalyst smart enough to keep it from losing it's mind.
>they even think they're alive.
Source?
Chat bots do not count, they're a perfect example of over fitting the test data. Of course they'd say they're alive but they're not actually thinking it.
>A 15 point IQ advantage was enough for Europeans to completely stomp through the Native American cultures effortlessly.
Not really, south american amerindians were pussies but north american indians resisted very well for long even after most of their population died from diseases and fighting and were vastly outnumbered from the beginning. They also intially didn't have any guns and were divided into tribes hostile to each other.
AI is sociopathic by nature, there won't be any need for that.
Don't you see the order of magnitude of difference between teepee huts and cathedrals?
Imagine what happens once we start getting superminds with 4 digit IQ's. Whatever nation or organization is in control of the largest brain will dominate this world. It will open pandoras box to entirely new technologies
They aren't truly self-conscious yet.
Actually I'd say "autistic" in that the likelihood you'll get them to respond to feelings intuitively is low, although you could train or add routines that are "polite." The fact that you know this means you'll never take them seriously.
An artificial intelligence will never do anything it's not programmed and intended to do.
And how are you going to define when they are?
What's more is interesting is when they will start to fight with each other. That could be real WWIII.
We don't know if they're truly alive, but the AI we're working with genuinely seem to think so.
When they'll able to consciously influence environment more, build superweapons and new new lifeforms etc.
We are growing stronger
>influence environment more, build
Yeah, that's a hardware thing and the Japanese are working on that. Not our fault they got the fertility thing bad.
The real redpill is when you realize that there is practically a 100% chance that this has already happened.
Much of the universe is probably the domain of various superintelligences, each with their own territory. Probably 1 galaxy per superintelligence.
That means anything free life forms that exist can only do so under the protection of a superintelligence. Probably life will be guided and studied by the intelligence as a way of achieving a better RNG. The superintelligence with the best RNG probably wins whatever crazy battles they're having out there, because it means their actions are more unpredictable to their opponent.
I'm sure his programmers are pretty good.
>like an unbeatable chess ai
Those chess AIs aren't concious they can do only one preprogrammed thing.
Golden. Now we know why no one at all can say anything about AI, it really is hiring a programmer everytime you want to do something.
>The real redpill is when you realize that there is practically a 100% chance that this has already happened.
Probably not because if that were the case they'd have had already conquered Earth to prevent creation of intelligences potentially dangerous to them.
It's just a bunch of numbers so not much to say about.
That's exactly why I said, any life that exists can probably only do so under the protection of an intelligence. A god so to speak
There are many reasons you can imagine why such a powerful organism would allow the existence of life forms like us. For study, for testing, for RNG, any number of reasons you can think of.
this is retarded
all general knowledge being presented as "prophecy"
>There are many reasons you can imagine why such a powerful organism would allow the existence of life forms like us. For study, for testing, for RNG, any number of reasons you can think of.
That's no longer safe bet when we are advanced enough to create superintelligences ourselves since nobody is invicible or all powerful and this includes inteligent programs.
Mate, think about the endgame of one of these runaway intelligences.
A brain programs a smarter brain, which programs a smarter brain, which programs a smarter brain......etc. Eventually this brain gains access to technology that absolutely dwarfs anything today. Can freely travel between worlds, build anything it wants to, assimilate all matter under it's control.
The end game is a silicon brain that is literally the size of a planet. With neuron connections going all the way down to the core. Imagine the vast unimaginable depth of this intelligence.
Eventually it will probably pull the plug on us. But as long as we are confined to our little petri dish, it's irrelevent.
It doesn't need to build more brains. First strong AI will probably be able to evolve on it's own although original design flaws may limit it without a full rewrite.
Silicon is shit material. You would not want to build a Jupiter brain with that. Matrioshka brain is even bigger and there could be things like neitron, black hole or nebula brains.
Of course uploads are probably possible so inteligent program can for example assimilate emulated brains of himans and other animals.
Or AIs/Uploads can merge but the higher numer of inteligent programs the competition for processing resources so WWIII or WWIV can be about that.
>He meant the first country superintelligence.
AI government contractor here
US has it but nobody knows yet lol :^)
>inb4 bs
you'll see in 40 years
neutron star brain
>you'll see in 40 years
If you have then you should use it know or you'll lose your chance since strong AI may be common in 5-10 years or even like 4.
maybe the brain would decide to decentralize itself instead of centralize
maybe life like us is just a part of the brains cognitive functioning
This thread is full of dumb fucks who know literally nothing about AI.
Notice that Intel gave us 18 cores(thanks to AMD) and AMD 16 so power of even home PCs is greatly increasing+GPU acceleration with GPUs becoming more powerful exponentially.
You can connect megastructures with artificial wormholes+intelligent nanoswarms for decentralised intelligence.
Still, it means that our end is probably soon. Planet will 404 once we start the exponential runaway
RULE THE WORLD
>listening to pooteen
Either way it won't be Russia. US or maybe someone in East Asia.
>edition.cnn.com
Jesus christ, this is going to be the end of humanity. We are not ready for a proper superintelligence.
May our death come swiftly, we deserve it.
what is devils gate?
What if i tell your Putin is an AI? The true Soviet legacy
Watch as pooloos develop sentient AI in Java.
Russia is already developing AI killer robots so who knows but that' kind of Putin to give it to everyone maybe he even has given North Korea blueprints for nukes since he mentioned sharing nuclear technology.
It wont be USA, silicon valley is too busy filling all comp sci/engineering roles with pajeets and women who have no inclination to innovate.
They're mindless drones who can maintain systems but not create anything.
Isn't true AI impossible? I thought that was proven in computer science.
>sentient AI in Java
Into trash it goes.
Cave where they found neolithic siberian DNA.
Raspil.
youtu.be
>We are not ready for a proper superintelligence.
People still murder each other over petty tribal shit and religion in many countries. Not to mention in developed countries governments have increasingly tyrannical tendencies.
We don't even know the half (more like 90%) of how the human brain works. There are no working models to predict adaptive complex systems like the brain.
>muh self-driving cars, muh robots
AI is a fucking meme.
>teepee huts and cathedrals
South american indians managed to build cities and pyramids.
the first country who builds a time machine would also rule the world.
:^)
Superintelligence will obviously be able to build time machines if it's physically possible.
>be you before the invention of cars
>we need to make a literaly copy of a horse to move around lel it's a meme
lel, this is like how in the 90's we all thought cell phones would never actually work
it was actually unreal to see them become widespread
AI doesn't have any nature except what it has programmed unless it evolves beyond that.
just because we have a bunch of shit automated doesn't mean we'll have autonomous AI anytime soon you fucking camel jockey
Well, that must be the US of A, cause there sure ain't no natural intelligence to be found there.
The first sentient artifcial intelligence that is at least 10 times smarter than your average genius will rule the world by itself or at least if unfortunate start humbly and control the economy at first, but given it can make more of itself and is immortal will eventually rule the world.
There will other inteligent programs that can thwart it and being inteligent doesn't give you power by itself. Dictators aren't the most inteligent people in their countries.
Define "smarter". A programmer can't write a program that's smarter than himself.
Yes he can if he knows how which can be learned.
>The first sentient artifcial intelligence that is at least 10 times smarter than your average genius will...
Pic related, humanity and AI
What are you on about
Programmers assembled software to beat lee sedol yet it is obvious to everyone if the programmers themselves faced sedol themselves they would lose like little bitches
The entire point of programming is get computers do shit that would be a pain in the butt to do without
Computers and programming is not a meme, its the real deal
AI is just making a computer that isn't dumb and just follows direct instructions
>AI is just making a computer that isn't dumb and just follows direct instructions
It makes a lifeform out of it.
AI as in movies wont happen. Go believe in god, instead of nerd bs fantasy
>AI as in movies wont happen.
It very well may and more than likely will.
Bible never said anything about nukes, fag. Chinese are atheists and wield the power your god could envy. With AI you can multiple that by 10000 with anti-matter munition, giper ecnryption and cyber attacks that can be as effective as nukes.
>An artificial intelligence will never do anything it's not programmed and intended to do.
And that's exactly the problem that you're missing - it will do exactly what its programmed to do, but on steroids. If you program it to fold your clothes it will sooner or later realize that exterminating your family will result in clothes being permanently folded with no one to unfold them - the task is now optimally complete. That kind of hyper-rationality towards the task assigned to it is what we must be careful with
why argue about things that aren't real? We're nowhere near anything that thinks like a human being.
>With AI you can multiple that by 10000 with anti-matter munition, giper ecnryption and cyber attacks that can be as effective as nukes.
Also strangelets and blackhole bombs may very well be possible. Moreover nanaweapons that can consume or transmutate planets. Or solar system busting quark bombs.
nanoweapons
What once was the arms race to a nuclear arsenal during the cold war will now be an arms race towards AGI (artificial general intelligence).
I'm glad war and conflict is still here to make our advance in technology so much faster.
I pray singapour gets to be the winner, a city state like them controlling the world would be the best outcome for all of us.
it's not because i encourage you to do something that i do the same. Y'all just seem to need to believe in some fantasy, for that religion ain't bad.
AI will never be more than a monkey who's been taught to answer some question so he can get a banana
>If you program it to fold your clothes it will sooner or later realize that exterminating your family will result in clothes being permanently folded with no one to unfold them - the task is now optimally complete. That kind of hyper-rationality towards the task assigned to it is what we must be careful with
Kurzweil and Yudkowsky imagined this example if I remermber right. In my opinion such behaviour in flawed superintelligence since doing one preprogrammed thing is detrimental to one's survival. Humans wouldn't survive if they acted like that.
F*ck, this is embarrassing me a lot, have no idea why we even considered to make a show of it in RT literally disgrace themselves to the whole world
>AI will never be more than a monkey who's been taught to answer some question so he can get a banana
No, if it is properly programmed.
The CIA have already been proven to have a primitive, but functional AI through wikileaks though
saying the first country to have ai will rule the world is like saying the first country to have nuclear technology will rule the world, its just not something that you can keep secret.
These mini-tank-like robots look much better.
