(In fact the people that created BAMN were affiliated with those same groups back in the 60s and 70s.) That is to say BAMN is a cult. They take in young, at risk youth, which are abundant in the Bay area. They cut them off, they break them down and then build them back up.
Felarca appears to run the day to day operations in the Bay area. I believe she is a true believer based on her actions and some of her bizarre statements. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she would kill or has killed for them in the past.
The most interesting stuff going on here is cult aspect but just slightly less interesting (to me anyway) is the way they receive financing. They are associated with several mainstream sounding Leftist organisations that receive big money from corporate America. The money is then funneled to other non-profits and eventually directly to BAMN. It's the exact same way George Soros moves money from mainstream organisations to hundreds of far Left/Communist/Leninist/Marxist organisations all over the world.
These groups have basically found a way to get Xerox, Starbucks, General Mills, Kraft Foods and other mainstream mega corporations to fund them without them even knowing it.
