Im not really sure about what the exact nature of the relationship between the liberals and progressives is. At times in history you cant slip a sheet of paper between them, then at others theyre openly hostile to one another. I agree that the liberals bred the current progressives, but part of me thinks it might be a lifecycle thing. When young and insulated from reality, theyre progs, once they attain real power they become libs. Explains how Clinton and Obama can be active parts of student left and slip seamlessly into Establishment roles. The risk the liberals are always playing is that the progressive movement they flirt with might actually turn on them. I think thats whats about to happen, which is why were seeing the centre turn hard against the left.
Unless you take a more long term view and look at estimated population statistics down the line. White people may be the majority today but reproductive trends indicate that they just aren't procreating and even if they are, it is not at the rate at which large parts of the black, hispanic and other communities are. What's to say that 15 years in the future it isn't exactly this narrative that ensures they remain in power for a long time?

We can also then ensure that the percentage of hispanics in this country are legal, and create a culture in the latin community that supports legal and controlled immigration over uncontrolled illegal zergrushing, as a higher proportion of them would have had to deal with the strenuous immigration process, something they would not enjoy seeing other people skip.
