Top kek.

Hmmm...wonder who is hiding behind that flag...

thermo-ply is shit

Every single element is shit on that picture except maybe the doors LOL

Why build houses from crap like that? Even poorfags build from cement steel and bricks in real developed countries. Not trolling.

>jose coming to shit up America
Sounds like another normal day

Show your flag southamericanbro

We typically build with 2x4 and OSB instead of thermo-ply.

The isolation with the trademark is very ugly.
The industrial process of house construction have no soul.

Just another beaner coming here to shit all over us

Don't worry America, the rest of the world can share our groundbreaking windproofing technology.

>We typically build with 2x4 and OSB
We only build doghouses from that.

5% GDP growth incoming!

Why do burgers build their houses out off cardboard?

Because that's what burger containers are made from.

Houses made with plywood, LOL. Even China has higher building standards.

When you live in the path of Hurricanes so you build your houses out of Cardboard.
Hurricanes couldn't do shit to British houses.

It's cheap and plentiful. We get extreme weather in huge portions of the country so it's easier to rebuild. It's also very easy to remodel/renovate and upgrade.

That was even a Hurricane.
Some Amerifat just fell out of bed looking for a burger.

It's "more economic"
Than a little wind comes and they have to build a new shed

Or you just build it properly first time...

Lots of houses here are 200 years old and they are still solid.

Compared to the US your houses are doghouses.
Enjoy the favela

We have brick buildings, just not in areas with earthquakes so much.

Houses in Floirda are required to be able to withstand high winds. I think they learned after Andrew.

Any ideas?

>UK
>extreme weather
Wow sure impressive for those houses to stand up against a slight drizzle

Jose = Pepe

TIL hurricanes are named in alphabetical order

I've went to sleep in the USA in one of these sheds during a tornado warning.

It seriously ain't fun.

Give me a brick house with 1.5m concrete foundations any day.

Because we have vast amounts of timber readily available. A brick structure isn't going to stand up to 180mph sustained. It needs to be reinforced concrete. Pretty much made completely of it. We also have shit called weather. The fuck does Europe have that compares to hurricanes/tornadoes?

Waaaaaaaait a minute here, this is what passes for a house back there? It's only plywood, plasterboard and some twigs, here it wouldn't be considered suitable as a kiosk in a temporary carnival.
And you really pay millions of dollars for that ??????

> It's "more economic"
>Than a little wind comes and they have to build a new shed

The shit inside that gets destroyed together with their cars cost more than the "house"

And we still have lots of houses from the Colonial Era, what's your point faggot?

Fucking kek

We have plenty of houses that were built hundreds of years ago. I just looked at a house built in 1908 and it seemed fine. Only real problem was that the asbestos roof was going to need some attention and that's a major pain in the ass.

People don't have the same interior preferences they had 50 years ago. These days it's all about open design, vaulted/high ceilings, kitchens with islands, etc. Houses built 50 years ago don't necessarily have that shit and it's easy to knock some walls down to open things up. Having doors compartmentalizing everything to control heating/cooling went out of style big time when central AC became a thing.

Do you have a fairy tale called The 3 Little Pigs???

Surely if you get severe weather, the more reason to build solid houses.

harvey
>kills 1 person
>causes some flooding

irma
>rapes Barbuda's communications
>so awesome that it breaks 140 knots and weather equipment without going full power
>its victim islands line up to die
>can encapsule islands inside its eye

>there's already another one coming called Jose.
Holy fucking shit, how many has there been?
Ironically this is funny as fuck

Footage of the storm in the Caribbean, you guys are fucked

Don't build temporary accommodation out of cardboard and it might be able to last for more than 20 years...

You just proved my point.

A tornado will destroy a brick house just the same. They tear the roofs off schools and municipal buildings all the time and those are typically used as storm shelters. If having a rebar reinforced double-thick cinderblock wall isn't enough your pile of rocks is just going to crumble.

Well most of the Colonial houses are in places that don't get fucked by hurricanes

They tried to Deport Jose, but he came back with a vengeance.

But climate change is a chinese liberal hoax! How could this be happening?

:^)

i'm going to die of laughter if the thing somehow makes it to mexico

Allen was on-par, and that was in the 80s.

...don't build houses near hurricane paths? It's not like the US is crowded for space.

Look at the models. It's gonna turn north and miss the Us coast.

Why do people keep talking about this like its a thing

what kind of roof compliments a concrete residential house? steel or wood framing with the hurricane strips

That's by far the dumbest solution I've ever heard of.

Congratulations bong

We have to live alongside the Swedish.

holy fuck yuropoors are dumb

ahahahahah they would obliterate them you fucking retard

...

Because less than a week ago those same models predicted that it might hit NYC. Weather models aren't accurate past a couple days. This thing looks like it's going to hit Florida hard, but it's not a sure thing. It's something that's confirmed on a day after day basis.

Yeah we should abandon most of the eastern seaboard and the gulf because some houses might get flooded. We should also abandon huge portions of the plains due to Tornadoes, Large portions of the west because of droughts, and huge sections of the north because of blizzards/ice storms. We get extreme weather like Australia gets poisonous animals.

You're a fucking idiot.

>British "building" standards are based off of fairy tales

Change the chad irma "Lvl 5 highest possible" to "Lvl 6 off the fucking chart"

Mine is concrete, also not on a fucking hurricane coast

Just built a decent fucking house, not plywood and plastic and set a decent foundation.
Why is it tho. People living in the hurricane belt are retarded for those reasons.
"eh we just rebuilt every 12 months"

NO WAY!

>here it wouldn't be considered suitable as a kiosk in a temporary carnival.

Yes American's, how can you travel and leave your home when anyone can just kick in your "wall" and get access to your precious dildo collection?

Hurricanes don't wreck every house. I've sat through multiple cat 2 storms that just took shingles off rooves and downed some power lines.

Houston is our fourth or fifth largest city, and it is not a centralized/planned city like Paris or an organic city like London (where the city has grown over time in accordance with the population trends). Houston grew fast, is too spread out, and will probably start getting shanty towns like Brazil or mexico city due to the floods of people still coming in. It lead to cardboard suburbs to be built, to fit the growing population, but with no central planning, a city that is built in a basin (similar to New Orleans) will get fucked by weather.

Kek

Ohhh, this is going to be spectacular!

It's gonna turn and move down Florida LOL

Underrated.
