In his diaries, George Patton outlines his thoughts that Jews control the media and are trying to implement communism. He points out that he thinks "communist and semitic" elements in the government are responsible for American intervention in Europe and Germany.
He says Germany is the only modern state, and that Germans were the only decent people left in Europe. He laments that the US "defeated the wrong enemy" and should've sided with Germany against the Soviets rather than the other way around. He calls the American intervention and "liberation of Germany" a failure, and that in fact the US "lost the war".
He then mentions all the horrible treatment of Germans by the Soviets Allies after the war, how so many were needlessly killed, raped, or mistreated and that destruction of Germany would only help the USSR and the spread of communism (which is what happened).
Later on he says the same communist and semitic elements in the government are spreading lies about him and trying to character assassinate him, and that he would resign so he could wage an all-out war against them (he died before he could do this).
Here you have a respected and well-known general that a lot of Americans have been taught to see as a "based American hero killin' da ebil Natzees and saving the world!" telliing the whole story yet most people aren't even aware of it.
