POLISH GOVERNMENT REMOVES HOLOCAUST FROM HISTORY LESSONS
>The new curricula will be applied to the first, fourth and seventh grades. Textbooks are not yet ready for the other years. As in the past, history lessons begin in grade four, but according to the Polish association of historians, aspects related to everyday life and civilization will be removed from the five authorized history textbooks. The lessons will focus on military history and the lineage of Polish heroes.
>Grade four history lessons no longer begin with the Greeks and Romans, but instead, Mieszko I, the first Polish king in the 10th century. There are no references to world history; everything revolves around Poland and Polish history.
The Holocaust will not be mentioned in any serious manner and does not even mention it as something which took place in WWII.
>EU accession plays a minor role in the coursework. The anti-communist partisans, who fought against the socialist regime until the 1950s, are much more important and, of course, Pope John Paul II. Lech Walesa has not been removed from the five history books; however, Anna Walentynowicz's role in the 1980 Gdansk strike is praised more than it has been in the past. The sexual education curriculum in biology class will no longer include instruction on contraceptive methods and teachers are required to teach abstinence education (no sex before marriage).

But isn't it wrong to completely ignore ancient history? The Greeks and Romans are more important than some 10th century king that no one has ever heard about.

Why? There's no need to know all these stupid things, honestly they should just make it Year Zero when PiS came to power and erase all historical records before that.

I'm glad they will focus more on the post-war period, that is the stuff that was usually overlooked when I went too school - and it's the most important to understand our current situation. I cannot imagine how an educated person can name every single ancient greek philosopher and at the same time be ignorant of everything that happened 50 years ago.

>I cannot imagine how an educated person can name every single ancient greek philosopher and at the same time be ignorant of everything that happened 50 years ago. knowing Greece and Rome is more important than knowing what happened 50 years ago. Which part of Roman history teaches you about communism in Poland and it's impact on our culture, society and politics? Or about geostrategical place of our country in Europe? It's fucking bullshit. I don't doubt those things have value, especially if you're interested in philosophy or history on some deeper level, but for an average kid knowing what took place when his father was young and how it shaped the world he lives in is more important.
Thomas Johnson

Joseph Green
>I respectfully disagree, recent history is as important if not more no, because Rome and Greece covered universal existential problems, in Rome and Greece we see all political dilemmas and rise and falls of nations. Our contemporary problems have parallels in Rome and Greece. They were monarchies, republics and democracies, we can learn from that. What happened 50 years ago are merely some interesting facts, but they don't present any fundamental rules for life, both private and political
Native history started to be covered only really since the 18. century. Before that all Europeans were studying ancient history, and this was also the golden age of Europe, and it wasn't a coincidence, because those are the life giving roots of Europe
Asher Clark
>Its nice that someone will put history in order I have no idea why I had to learn about ancient Egyptians three times (primary school, junior high, high school) but never got to the cold war.
Same shit happened with me. Had to go full we wuz kangz but can't learn about half the modern wars the US has been involved in.
Blake Taylor
>no, because Rome and Greece covered universal existential problems yet last 50 years covered existence of Poland and shape of it, as well as it's society philosophy ain't got nothing on history
Juan Green
>Which part of Roman history teaches you about communism in Poland and it's impact on our culture, society and politics? Or about geostrategical place of our country in Europe? You can answer yourself those questions by studying Greece and Rome, because their experience is universal. Every european country modelled itself after Rome. Germany, Russia and France after Roman Empire, Poland and Venice after Roman Republic

Look at your sex addicted, bong smoking, lazy ass, 40 IQ, masturbating society and how it's obssessed with the word "holocaust" and kikes in general. You can literally say the word "jew" and look how most of western europeans and americans crawl on the floor apologizing for their existence. How they have their brains programmed to thinking that jew=good everyone else=bad. During my school programme for 12 years I've learned literally no other history than the general history of jews, history of polish jews, history of EU etc. We were literally forced to say how great is the nation of kikes, how we need their ethnicity and how bad Poles were because they also took place in the Holocaust. Things about Polish history were maybe 10% of all the informations to study, though we never learned about history that happened after I world war, while American kids are taught everything since the very beggining of USA to this day. In my primary school history looked like this - Prehistory, mezopotamia, greeks, romans, hebrews, egyptians, vikings, poles until around 16th century. Then middle high - prehistory, mezopotamia, greeks, romans, hebrews, egyptians, poles until around 16th century Then high school- same shit plus some liberal agenda oriented society lessons that were letting us to say "our own opinion" but as long as it was jew-friendly liberal shit they put in our heads before. >sex ed at school It's like telling a kike to happily spread his toxic sexual behaviours around kids and look how they become degenerate sex addicts and buy his company's condoms + maniacly watch porn on his sites that makes them lazy and inert. Also >americans teach their children that whatever would happen USA is the best country in the world >germans teach their kinder the same alsa that they didnt cause IIWW >poles teach their children that poland is an awful country, because some jews say this and that we should be sorry for our existence
Sebastian Sullivan
>During my school programme for 12 years I've learned literally no other history than the general history of jews, pierdolisz farmazony
Luke Cruz
based pole is correct. recent history is most of the time a lesson, of what to avoid, or to understand current political developments. to answer philosophical questions and the resulting political implications you need more than recent history. you need the history of fallen empires and cultures such as rome, the ottoman empire, mongolian empire, india etc.
Joseph Wood
well, my point is not to prove which history is more important, recent or ancient, but to show that both of them are somewhat important and no need to choose one or the other
Jordan Cox
How hard would it be for a burger to acquire polish citizenship? i'll serve in your military if it'll grant me it
Josiah Cox
>find me example from ancient greece or rome that will be relatable to commie occupation after WW2 But I don't claim that you shouldn't learn about ideologies, but focus should be on roman and greek culture anyway. In WW2 you see the decline of virtues and morality, it can be compared to Peloponesian war and when Athenians slaughtered Melos. Warsaw can be compared to the destruction of Carthage. Many parallel examples really. 18. century was the beginning of nationalism, when people figured that peasant languages are more important and that ancient culture should be rejected because it wasn't created by ethnic peasants...
Easton Ramirez
my point is, that history is like medicine. you have a bunch of sick people (nations) and a bunch of dead ones (most empires). and it should be history's job, to make sure, that we know why nations get sick, and how the others died.
William Harris
Its the kikes!
Angel Phillips
MARXIST TRANNYS BTFO.

What's the point of drawing elaborate parallels that require a lot of knowledge if you can simply teach in straightforeward manner about the facts and consequences of recent history? Do you really have to know about Carthage to explain why Warsaw was destroyed? This kind of knowledge is for advanced students, not people who are supposed to get basic education that will carry them through their normal lives.

>What's the point of drawing elaborate parallels that require a lot of knowledge if you can simply teach in straightforeward manner about the facts and consequences of recent history?
Are you really asking why it's important to understand cycles of history and the universality of the human condition, instead of creating an autist who thinks that nothing outside of his immediate reach ever existed and that everything that's happening is always happening for the first time?
Jason Rodriguez

You were replying to my comment where I clearly set the AID as 1%. (AID = 1%)
So if you look at my OP you can see that I wrote >(>1%) of our GDP meaning it's less than 1% - (>1%) of our GDP.
I seriously fucking despise talking to goyim, you people truly are subhuman animals with retard IQ.
Gavin James
greeks were insignificant in Poland
Henry Jackson
Well, Rome and Greece are awkward to Poland. We don't have sun for long, we don't have wine, olives, romanesque buildings, we don't have a mountain terrain. We have forests, meadows, rain, snow, beer, pork and german-like towns, so we can forget where our roots are. To be self-conscious, we must learn about those cultures, to be vigilant and to be able to translate those universal problems into our own language (like pic related), otherwise we won't understand what is happening around us
Samuel Scott
>everything that's happening is always happening for the first time? Because, contrary to the naive idealist view of history, it does always happen for the first time, no matter how much you bend your back trying to come up with new autistic comparisons between present-day Germany and Ancient Rome or some shit. Cold war happened for the first time, atom bomb got developed for the first time, communism took over Europe for the first time. You can make up shitty parallels but they are not a substitute for a serious analysis of recent history.
Hudson James
well well you trashy polak if you learned more about the Greeks you would know more about Greek influence in your daily life
Xavier Thompson
>knowing Greece and Rome is more important than knowing what happened 50 years ago. Greece and Rome are absolute and universal foundations, because Europe is an extension of Rome and Greece Too bad education about them is lacking. Greece had so much of the triggering toxic masculinity shit for present days but all of it is sweepd under rag so people don't really study Greece they study polite correct cosplay version of this "foundation". And study of the fake history is worthless.

First, the European Union entered a crisis that it could not solve and that has increased in intensity. We predict that the European Union will never return to its previous unity, and if it survives it will operate in a more limited and fragmented way in the next decade. We do not expect the free trade zone to continue to operate without increasing protectionism. We expect Germany to suffer severe economic reversals in the next decade and Poland to increase its regional power as a result.
At the center of economic growth and increasing political influence will be Poland. Poland has maintained one of the most impressive growth profiles outside of Germany and Austria. In addition, though its population is likely to contract, the contraction will most probably be far less than in other European countries. As Germany undergoes wrenching shifts in economy and population, Poland will diversify its own trade relationships to emerge as the dominant power on the strategic Northern European Plain. Moreover, we expect Poland to be the leader of an anti-Russia coalition that would, significantly, include Romania during the first half of this decade. In the second half of the decade, this alliance will play a major role in reshaping the Russian borderlands and retrieving lost territories through informal and formal means. Eventually as Moscow weakens, this alliance will become the dominant influence not only in Belarus and Ukraine, but also farther east. This will further enhance Poland's and its allies' economic and political position.
Tyler Morales

Honestly i think that teaching world history in school is mistake. Children are too young to comprehend it, to much shit need to be censored out. It is fairy tales told to toddlers tier not world history. National history should always remain as patriotic propaganda indoctrination tool, but spending school pupils time on the worlds history is a waste
