After quitting TV about 7 years ago, I realized how people who watch too much TV (namely tv shows & movies) have an idiotic tendency to act out like fictional characters. Watching the news and documentaries once in a while is alright.
Likewise, I also notice similar trend on social media, but this is no news to anyone familiar with e-celebrities and their SJW followers. I keep up with a few select social media hubs tho because I don't want to shut myself down completely from the world.
If you're planning on raising a family, do you intend to ban TV and/or social media or at least moderate it in your future household?

I have a one and five year old. I typically allow them to only watch appropriate shows for maybe half an hour a day. I do notice the children who live in front of the tv are often less behaved. Lilely due to the fact that parents who do that are typically lazy pieces of shit who dont give a fuck about their children.
I actually work in peoples homes in the bay area, especially Marin. It is one of the most liberal and rich places in the country. Ive seen kids publically abuse animals like we were in the stone age, or even people attempt to leave their 8 year old children alone with me so they can go see a show. In terms of attempting to affect social change, id say quite a lot. Politics is never left out of any brainstorming meetings, pitches made by writers and producers, and so on. Its always discussed at length due to being pretty much the primary concern for commissioning editors. If a programme pushes the wrong buttons of the audience too much its their job on the line.
