Not bad. Actually a lot better than I was in Canada. A lot of people don't realise it but the Canadian economy is absolutely cucked right now because of the price of oil. There were no jobs for me so I moved over here as my Irish gf wanted to move home.
Within one year I managed to get a good job, a car and save a decent amount of money. As well I've gone on a few foreign holidays. I've also seen more of this country that most people who live here.
The only downside I would say is that Irish social circles are a hard thing to break in to. People are friendly in so much as they will talk to you and such, but outside of a few nights out with the workmates I haven't done much. The Sup Forums factor of having incredibly opposing political views also makes it so I can't have the "real" conversations I am used to.
One thing I will say though is so many Irish girls have 10/10 asses.

Glad to hear your doing good. Irish social circles are even hard for Irish people to break into. I've spent most my life in a small town and I know everyone and feel part of the community and get on well with everyone and my friends are those I've grown up with and been friends with my entire life but if I had to leave here and move elsewhere in Ireland I think I'd have the same problem you described. We're very cliquey and clanish in this country.

That clanish part is very true. The guys I work with will definitely talk to me there, and we have gone out as a group a few times for drinks, but most days/nights I am by myself. My girlfriend thinks I don't try hard enough but it really is hard to meet people here.
I can't complain overall though, it is a very nice country. I've enjoyed myself thoroughly and the job and benefits I have would never have come my way in Canada. My next goal is to follow hurling more closely. GAA Football is a little bit too dry for me.
I do like that within an hour drive in any direction I can find historical places that outdo anything I would find at home. Another thing I noted is that most people from here don't appreciate the history/culture they've been blessed with.

Well basically if from the commenwealth yeah they get treated well, its usually eastern Euros that are generally disliked, just found that whilst drinking in certain pubs there is a certain hate still for the English and certain people from nothern Ireland, I try to not care but inevitably it comes back to people asking where I'm from... Was reading today that in the UK the wages have risen as a lot of Eastern Euros are leaving or not coming to the UK so the wages there are going up as employers now need to increase wages due to.lack of cheap labour and the low skilled British workers are going to be better off for it.
