excluding gravital attractions to the new sun, there wouldn't be night or there would just be part of it for a lot of time (the time for the planet to complete its orbit behind the earth).
if the sun was created, the sun would be relatively very small since saturn is gas that in order to have the same mass and density of a sun it must compress a lot.

I've been thinking a bit about this. I wondered why they couldn't just jettison it into space. Well, even if they did there wouldn't be enough fuel to bring it outside of the gravitational influence of our solar system. The next body that might be able to gravitationally influence the probe has to be light years away. I think they'd rather have it crash into a gas giant that they know can obliterate the probe and its fuel, as oppose to having a dirty bomb potentially hurling back at themselves at some later point in time.
However, given all the conspiracy theories about Saturn, it is an odd choice.

For those wondering, the next interesting thing to look out for after Cassini dives into Saturn is the Parker Solar Probe, which will be travelling into a 6 million km distance from the sun's surface to study and explain why the sun's corona is so much hotter than it's surface (1-4 million degrees Celsius compared to the surface's 5500 degrees Celsius)

Sun works off of fusion, plutonium generates Heat with fission, iorn is what causes stars to not continue the prosses, and hevier elments wont fuse under normal fusion reaction. On top of that the amount of plutonium on space craft is really small; its only enough to power a small thermal generator via fission.
