This. Joined Coast Guard at 18 got stationed on a big ass ship in Hawaii, went out to sea to over a dozen different Pacific Islands and even Japan and Russia. Then i got stationed in CA so it was pretty legit. The work is pretty easy and all locals love you, had people buying me lunches when I would eat out in uniform on lunch breaks, probably a 9/10 experience, Also the people in the coast guard are pretty chill, prly only 30% are badass tho but thats cool cuz its easier to shine.

The best is a branch of the infantry which here in greece we call "amphibious commando".
They are the elite of the special forces.
You spend you life becomming a killing machine, you get training inside and outside the water, your duty is to operate with a team and alone, training involves operation during war and during peace times, operatuons may last months or years, your duty is to be discrete or blend into the crowd.
The hardest of the amphibious operations are csrried out by the navy respective school, but infantry's has a wider range of skills and training and your duty is to kill.
I was in the special forces, i respect all of the divisions, but those guys are trully born and trained to become rambos.

Bootcamp is pretty tough, but once you graduate youll just laugh about how crazy it is. Camaraderie is a meme, and you will get fucked if you trust people. Getting screamed at at first is intimidating, but buy the time you're a seasoned LCPL, youll struggle not to laugh in someones face that is trying to "correct" you by screaming. Pic related

Intel or Infantry? 2 uncles were officers in infantry but that top secret security clearance looks juicy... but fuck writing english essays the whole time I'm in... advice?
