Since I'm an oldfag and studied that treaty I can tell you what didn't happen. The treaty differs 3 German parties. FRG, GDR and the new future state "United Germany". The Allied Powers quasi instruct their subjects to negotiate to build a new nationstate from the two separate entities. That didn't happen. GDR joined the dominion of FRG constitutional law (Grundgesetz für die BRD) which itself was supposed to be only a temporary legal construct according to The Hague Conventions. After the "Anschluß" under article 23 same article was scrapped, hindering ANY former German state (e.g. Silesia) to join FRG as well.
USSR got the guarantee that no foreign NATO troops nor strategic ordnance would be stationed on former GDR soil, and they in turn would retreat the Red Army from that territory.
So, NO new sovereign state was formed. FRG was expanded and the "Privileges and Obligations" of the Western Allied Powers were ended according to the treaty. Yet, not all articles in the old "Überleitungsvertrag" were scrapped. The articles upholding legal decisions as well as ANY administrative decision, verdict, seizure and action by ANY member of the Allied Forces is de facto German Law and is not to be revised nor annulled. That means, our judiciary cannot make a ruling on atrocities, war crimes, looting and murder committed by Allied Powers and therefore set the record straight. Neither can robbed patents, invaluable artwork and commodities be sued from the Allied Powers.

Looking at /lit/,Sup Forums, Sup Forums etc. there are various and sometimes very intricate flowcharts on a variety of cultural topics. The Issue is that of course all authors of these books (say on ancient greece or european history) are british or american. This has obvious reasons, but it reinforces a state of alienation from my own language which I already experience on a day-to-day basis on the internet. There should be a german equivalent to these "culturally forming" guides. A enthusiastic community of educated germans would be needed for such a project.
I wonder whether there already is such a thing and i'm just ignorant or whether there are any plans for it, and if not then i just want to make a proposition, propose the idea.
