How many of you have kids? Have you ever let your kid stay up long past their bed time because it just wasn’t worth the fight to get them into bed? They are sitting there, little hands rubbing their little tired red eyes, fighting to stay awake? You ask them if they are ready to go to bed, and they adamantly deny being tired. You explain that they are going to be very tired tomorrow if they don’t go to bed, but they still refuse. They want to be a “grown-up” and stay up late.

The next morning, they are a terror to get out of bed, they cry, fuss, and scream. Throughout the day they are cranky, uncooperative, and a general pain in the ass. Of course, they don’t connect their behavior with their refusal to go to bed the night before. In fact, they likely don’t even recognize that they are behaving badly. And everyone around them takes bears the burden.

This is the modern woman in western culture. She acts without consideration for the consequences. She wants to be a strong and independent adult, but when faced with the consequences of her actions, she throws a tantrum. She lashes out, demanding that someone every bear the burden of her choices. Someone or something else must always take the blame.

The problem here lies in that women have all the rights of a adult, but the responsibility level of a cranky child that stayed up too late. It's time to start treating them like children again, because that's what they are.
