I'll start. Began binge watching this and have never seen such a such a fucking drop off as what season 2 episode 1 was. What the fuck was that. It's like I went from watching Batman in season 1 then got thrown into some shitty Matrix ripoff in season 2.

I looked up the story behind The Big O and was interested in that 4 year gap between the seasons. I seriously believe the author was heavily influenced by The Matrix in that 4 year time gap and wanted to integrate some of that into the series.
When you look back and realize The Matrix basically influenced EVERYTHING back then it makes sense. Especially considering The Big O is a mish-mash of different series, it's no surprise the author wanted to get on the bandwagon of the media that was turning a generation.
Makes you wonder how it would have turned out if that 4 year gap never happened.
Also also, it makes you wonder what the fans of the show who basically brought it back from the grave thought of season 2. Considering the west's love of the show is what brought a second season, I can only imagine the "Wait what the fuck is this shit" that went down when it finally aired.

The only problem with S2 of Big O for me was that digital crap they made it in when S1 was hand drawn.
Yes, this alone killed my enjoyment of the show. They even insered some cel shots to make us suffer more.
The hints were already there since S1 though. Mass amnesia, "Big O! Showtime!", etc.
Anyway, I thought S2 was fine.
