Reddit

>200 million monthly unique views
>1.8 billion valuation
>Dominant website among the 15-25 year old demographic
>70% of the users there get their news primarily from the site
>Has new $200 million investment coming in, with big movers wanting to make it the premier source of news and discussion, and to overtake Twitter

Reddit could very easily become the dominant public square for political discussion in the future, unlike Facebook it allows someone to make a post that reaches millions of viewers and is better than Twitter at actually making long arguements that convince people.

Reddit was actually starting to become more right wing about a year ago, but the recent changes in the front page algorithm and censorship have lead to a massive hard shift back towards the far left.

We shouldn't lose this another institution, having already lost the colleges and mainstream media.

Not possible. The worst thing about Reddit is that it's full of Redditors.

The downside of reddit is there's now behind-the-scenes censorship of some subreddits and there's subreddits about stuff that would not be approved by many advertisers.

bump.
Sup Forums may be too autistic to touch plebbit, but having an influence there will actually mean something.

A quick glance at the front page / many subreddits such as politics, worldnews, latestagecapitalism, etc and you'll see absolutely insane comments...We need to bring these comments to light for every single major reddit advertisers.

If the left thinks they can win by censoring conservative ideas we can fight back by cutting off their Jew money.

Imagine during a Target, Walmart, etc stock board meeting Q&A one of us brought this up and started reading some of the comments. That could trigger a massive flight and destroy the website.

wew lad that selfie could have been clean up on aisle 5 so fast

Its already competing with Twitter in terms of unique views.Except unlike Twitter its not limited to two sentence posts. You can actually make a convincing arguement on Reddit, and if it hits the front page it could reach millions (not just your followers).

Reddit is one of the major reason Obama won, his campaign used it extensively to push propaganda.

>need a account to post
Disgusting

Pol is blocked at work but reddit isn't.
Didnt take me long to figure out how fucked that place is; you get downvoted for posting facts.

And that's the point. I know Sup Forums likes to pretend that Reddit is irrelevant and something to be just dismissed, but its actually massively influential. Virtually every single millennial and college student browses Reddit, and so many form their worldview there. These people are going to be the next generation of decision makers.
