2 days ago, I was brought aside by a C-level exec and asked to write a private web interface tool to be used internally. This tool was to take 2 fields, a twitter handle and a tweet to like. On the back end, all it did was insert a "like" event into our job queue, which eventually propagated to the database (after being published to feeds). I thought it was a weird tool, and I had no idea what it was for, but my job is to write all kinds of tooling, so no biggie.
Now I know what it was for. I am 90% confident that the like on Ted Cruz's page was generated by this tool. Sure, Cruz could have liked it himself, and that would be amusing and funny, but the timing is too coincidental. I think he was framed. I can provide proof of the tool's existence....it's an internal tool, but it has a public url (don't ask). Just thought you guys should know what's going
