I thought Koi Kaze and Ore no Imouto were both pretty good. Oreimo had a much more interesting cast of characters, but Koi Kaze really hit the emotional bits pretty well. I like Koi Kaze's manga art better than OreImo's anime but it feels unfair to compare them that way.

Oreimo only failed because it failed to even begin to squeeze 12 volumes into 24 episodes, minus the OVA's. Characters were reduced to "literally who" status due to almost never appearing, and certain important character (Sakurai) didn't exist at all. Kirino's tsun was jacked up too far, as well
The Koi Kaze anime was pretty good, the artstyle felt a little weird at times, but the voice acting was great, and the music, as is usually the case in incest adaptation, was nothing short of godly. The only thing I didn't like was the hamfisted attempt at implying difficulty for Nanoka and Koushiro
