there are no valid criticisms, it is literally perfection
himouto umaru is your favorite? wow what an absolute autist
Anohana can get a bit melodramatic at times, but the fact remains its my favorite
Slow beginning, probably only my favorite because I've seen it so many times over the years. Threads are cancerous.
The meme posting still hasn't stopped, for one.
It can be slow sometimes. Still the best romance I've seen.
Anti-climactic ending and people really hate pic related designs.
animation is old, supporting characters are underdeveloped, a lot of important shit is left out from the manga
I honestly haven't gotten around to Ghost Hound due completely, 100% to pic related. I just can't man, that looks so awful. How long are they like that?
Characters are unrelatable, dialogues are needlessly wordy, the philosophy doesn't speak to everyone.
No more noses.
I think they first appear in episode 4 and they learn to change their form around episode 10.
Animation is old af
Retarded anatomy
You need external sources to understand why and how things in the series actually happened
Can't quite understand the Japs' obsession with Christian Imagery, especially when it's shoved in without much thought
The first 21 episode are below average shitty shonen tier.
I dropped the show 3 times by episode 3, but a tasty friend insisted that I hold on until episode 21.
In the end it was worth it. These 20 episodes ultimately are the necessary build up for the remainder of the show.
I wonder if this could have been done in an other way. The fact that it was very generic and abused common tropes was actually the perfect setup for the whole show. You have to go through 20 episodes of garbage to dig out a small diamond.
This
episode 4 is a huge pile of shit
I made a thread similar to this a few weeks back.
>Cheap asspulls
>Side Characters have little presence
>Have to give it 8 episodes for something to really happen
>Baits you into thinking that it's going to contain some semblance of character develop then completely and purposefully fails to.
>MC is an annoying little shit
>MC's older brother is a doormat
>worst music in anime in years
>cheap asspulls
Like what?
Those fucking scrolling backgrounds that you can easily see cut and repeat themselves. It's jarring.
Nice rec thread
Spiral Power wasn't an asspull? Sure there's an explanation for it but if all I need is sheer power of will to win, the trek doesn't seem too difficult.
However reality kicks in hard when Nia dies and Simon can't revive her
The drama is pretty bad too to be honest. All the psycho teacher-hating students never came across as believable and the resolutions to the conflicts were just shit.
They rarely asspull their way out of a fight except for the first gattai at ep3. They reused Rossiu's ship to make Arc Gurren Lagann and Spiral King's ship to make Chouginga Gurren Lagann.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann didn't use any other mech, just Spiral Power, but there's the whole dream episode before so it's okay.
The pacing goes from 0-100 out of nowhere after the first 4 episodes, there's a huge variety of concepts explored in incredibly abstruse ways and the symbolism used isn't explained until some time after the fact, the 11th episode didn't provide much useful information for a recap episode, and as a series it expects the viewer to be paying attention to all sorts of details to a nearly insane degree. For some examples, the information needed to make sense of the alien is a ~2 second clip hidden in episode 9, and to make sense of Mika's identity you need to recall key details of a 3 minute sequence from memory when seeing another similar scene later on in the episode and put 2 and 2 together, all by yourself and all without being given any indication to do so.
>Black Lagoon
Madhouse took some shortcuts in animation, this becomes more apparent when looking at the BDs.
Also regarding the source material, Hiroe is an incredibly slow and lazy worker, there still isn't enough manga to make more anime out of.
Adorable size difference.
Why isn't she real?
>those retarded super deformed faces
>so-so world building
Berserk
>Kings, Queens, dragons, dwarves. Horses, FORTRESSES, MAGIC, AND SWORDS!
>Muira Hobbited more shit from Tolkein than Martin
For me it's the Cait Sith. I hate that fucker
If you mean taiga ... she is ... my ex was exactly like her ... best girl ever ... lasted only 6 month sadly
First season isn't as good as the second. To get the full enjoyment out of the show, you have to let the characters feel very close to you as the show progresses, as if they were your actual friends.
Lagann moving by itself and going to Simon in ep 11ish was a total asspull.
>implying the faces aren't the best part of Aria
They referenced kamina dyingway to much, almost ruining how his death meant something special for everybody
boku no pico is too good so it gets posted in recommendation threads often
You Hob-bit epic rap battles and you fucked it up anyway.
I'm so sorry user
Episodes 4-6 were pretty weak in comparison to the rest.
(TTG)
>MC is far too good at rapping.
>Subtitles could have been optimised to give people more time to read.
>the information needed to make sense of the alien is a ~2 second clip hidden in episode 9
wtf?
Does this look like a bear?
>Baits you into thinking that it's going to contain some semblance of character develop then completely and purposefully fails to.
read the manga for it
Last season wasn't good.
>MC is overpowered and barely shows any character for the most part
>animation errors
>two episodes of filler instead of the catgirl arc
>best boy only got two episodes
>season 2 never
>two episodes of filler instead of the catgirl arc
Blasphemous
This I can get behind with. Episode 4 is bland as fuck (the animation is fucking horrible too)
I could go on about small details all day but to resume it: it had potential yet they fucked up the second season pretty bad, the ovas help just a little bit, but is still bad. They completely changed what the first season had going on.
- Despite being so short, It was just a few episodes too long.
- it is never truly explained why any of the magical shit is possible, not that it really matters.
- The ending was predictable, but it was still tearful.
- The full version of the ED is damn near impossible to find.
- The manga sequel was better
Symphogear S1 genuinely feel like a mentally unstable person wrote it and everything past the first season is pretty terrible and generic unless you're way into the singing
- Season 1 had elements from all the creators' previous works, conglomerating into something that was nice, but seemed unsure as to its direction.
- Half the cast walks out after the first season and become rare guest appearances thereafter. It's a real shame, as the characters that left were quite interesting and could've used more development.
- They tried very hard to stray from Yuri, though I would argue this helped the show greatly, as it made the actual Yuri feel very "teasy."
- Season 2, Episode 11 was upsetting as fuck
- Season 5 never
There's no S3.
- The same old tired "will they? won't they?"
Though being a 90s show, maybe it gets a pass
- Way too long to get a kiss.
- Way too many episodes. Of course the material warrant it, but it was the type of series that just needed anime exposure as opposed to complete recreation. Still, I loved it.
nyaa.se
Took me five minutes.
- Those voices. I loved them though.
- Too perfect. Too fun.
-S2 never
Most of the space battles in LOGH are pretty dumb.
Don't feed, man.
But thank you very, very much.
-Slow pacing. It'll take many episodes for things to happen. A lot of the "down" episodes consist of Kaiji ruminating, crying, and sometimes rejoicing.
-There is a lot of narration and repetition of characters' thoughts which some people may not like.
-Poorly done CGI in S1.
-The noses.
- Much like Honey and clover, it wanted to say something meaningful while having various funny skits. It failed on one, but succeeded greatly on the other.
- Ararararararagi sure has been busy.
The second part of the last episode. Otherwise it's perfect.
Legendary Gambler Tetsuya looks like shit, the animation is terrible, there's characters featured in the opening that you never meet.
Kill yourself
No S3, moeblobs instead
Natsume could have more of a personality besides being a very kind and nice boy, more character development would be welcome as well.
>another fateshit
>Muh Chivalry and ideology
>Spoils F/SN
I like the noses
Animation isn't particularly high quality and the art is just imitating K-ON instead at least trying to adapt Kishida Mel's glorious designs.
Still my #1 favourite.
My friend disliked the ghost forms too, but I think it's interesting how they kind of resembled the sensory homunculus.
And in my #2, oddly enough, I cannot find a single fault whatsoever.
I guess the OST isn't released?
10/10 taste. Season 5 in autumn cant wait.
First opening was better.
season2 failed, season 1 was deepenough4me.
Her brother was oddly endearing.
>tasty friend
tell me moar.. please
>You need external sources to understand why and how things in the series actually happened
You can infer the important things for yourself. If you want to spoil the experience by using a walkthrough then that's your fault.
The side characters serve their exact roles. Who do you think was underserved?
Ending was pretty cheesy and made no sense in line with the rest of the show.
>No focus on his family at all
>OP1 was discarded waaaaaaaaaaay too fast
>Based Oda only had like 10 episodes
-CG masterpieces, disgusting
I wanted more Sasuke and Oda scenes. Is great hearing Oda talk about ideals.
How? The ending tied in completely with every single theme the show had.
No. He pissed me the fuck off. He's like a rich parent turning their child into a spoiled little fucking monster and letting her loose on other people without remorse
Because the whole show is focused on a place that's on the very far fringes of what's important. It's about the lives of irrelevant people in an irrelevant place.
And then all that gets tossed out the window because lol she's actually a princess and we stop the war
This.
Holy shit, everything else were so faptastic, but the last 10 minutes sucked monkey balls.
Hotaru's character got pretty annoying at times doing the same shit over and over.
There's this annoying pink-haired shit who somehow became a part of the main group and whose only gags are sexually assaulting her friends and horrifying art.
MC hooks up with worst girl
Also Bat's VA is sorta fucking up the OP themes by refusing to sing
Never read the manga but I hear after Oscars death there is still an entire volume.
First episode is not nearly as good as every other one.
Ginko doesn't go "ohh?" enough
Ginko never gets traveling companions and him alone can be bland sometimes.
Not enough episodes have a mystical theme and focus on too common problems.
I'm talking about all the seeds of life / first ancestral race stuff
The characters are a bit flat.
The comedy is not quite as funny as it thinks it is.
The plot is very stereotypical. It's basically your average boy falls in love with a girl and is gifted with a deus ex machina story.
>Despite being a good character, Hei can be associated with edgelords
>Plot holes
>No season 2
>Best girl didn't run
>Best boy is far superior to every girl
>Not enough collar bones
>Didn't win
Whoops
Spiral power is the main power that the series revolves around
it's like saying the force is an asspull
also Sup Forumsnon is missing
>episode 4
OPMC
this guy understands.
pretty much, yeah.
Quality drop in the second half leading to a hurried ending.
Lot of reused animation for one of the most expensive anime ever made.
The style differs quite much between animation directors. I wouldn't say the characters are drawn off-model, but it's definitely noticeable, perhaps because of the distinctive chara design.
Same. Also, the fact that the only episode apart from her backstory that really develops her character is the last one.
Some of the action sequences are really dumb, though they're pretty good on average.
The major looked better in the tacticool outfits.
The leotard thing is poorly designed and makes her head look tiny.
Don't forget that it doesn't become a 10/10 until episode 8.
Other than Kokuto, the characters are SUPPOSED to be unrelatable. That's kind of the point, they're all very strange and abnormal in some way. I agree with the dialogue part, a lot of stuff some of the characters say (especially Touko) are way too dragged out. Not quite sure how the philosophy not speaking to everyone could be considered a valid criticism.
Definitely not sure about the noses thing, characters' noses are pretty well fleshed out throughout the series.
S 2 never
That downer ending for one.
