Carew - Again super cute and i can use him to ride and get somewhere really fast like to a doctor since i dont have one on my crew
Ideo - Incredible fighter with a badass look and design
Thatch - looks cool, acts cool, and is a cook Enel - extremely powerful but also funny
Rob Lucci - same as Kisaru in my opinion
Koala - Powerful but also super cute and sexy
Nico Robin - waifu

Buggy and Shanks is part of Rogers pirate who conquered grandline, knows about true history, and place the damn One Piece in Raftel. Unless Oda mention that they both got kick out from Rogers pirate before they reach raftel, i forget.

And uniquely, someone who very possibly knows how to reach what supposedly one of the biggest pirate stash left by the pirate king, is now hunting lesser pirate stash of captain John.

They disbanded after "they conquered Grandline" which could means they have reach raftel

If that's the case then yes, Buggy and Shanks know about the One Piece. Which is kinda awesome, I for sure didn't expect that much from Buggy first time we've seen him.

Sanji - cook, non df-user, melee-fighter, Geppou is a big plus
Sugar - for getting rid of nuisances, high agility, funny personality, can keep the others in check
Crocodile - nice df-power, stategical thinking bestboy
Doffy - extremely high range, big variety in powers, parasyte string is pretty useful
Mihawk - extremely powerful swordsman, non df-user, highly intelligent
Sabo - great haki abilities, already good with the mera mera, will be very powerfull with some training
Trafalgar - powers are useful for fighting and healing, used to stealth
Perona - stealthy abilities, variety of abilities best girl
Zoro - good addition for Mihawk, non df-user, highly disciplined

I feel it's pretty important to have a few non-df users and this group has enough variety to combat anything.
Compromise of favorite characters and utility.

My first impression on him that he is a pirate that love to party and hunt for treasure,

yet, oddly, for all this time, he never shown interest in the One Piece or Rogers Stash who are deemed as greatest treasure that shitton other pirates lust for.

Instead he hunts for Captain John treasure.

Also to note, in SBS, a reader wonder on Buggy power level after Haki stuff revealed, Oda answer to him/her is that Buggy do have great potential in terms of power, he merely didn't show any interest on gaining it.

I've always believed Buggy and Shanks stayed on the ship probably with half of the crew, the way Nami chopper and brook did at Punk Hazard and Dressrosa and probably Whole cake island (at first anyway)

I love Mafia themed characters and I think Oda is doing a good job with Capone so far.

Arlong is pretty charismatic (unlike Hody) and the first 'best One Piece villain' for me.

I was just wondering how it will play out.
Brook's first appearance was in chapter 442 and he joined in chapter 489. We're currently at chapter 824 and that would have been enough time to give Brook an important role, promoting him from a mere gag character.
Sure, it's not like he didn't have his moments but it just doesn't feel as fleshed out as for the other members.

We're only now getting to know who Sanji really is and he's been around for a long, long time.

Brook is the strawhat I relate to most, so I've always liked him as a character even if he's out of focus. Hopefully we might get a bit more of his backstory before the end.
