The anime is shit. First arc of the manga, which is what the anime adapted, is meh. Minus arc is great though, as is most of the continuation, but Minus is the peak.

It's fun and a wild as fuck ride if you pass the first 2 arcs, but it's all over the place in terms of quality

Personally I wouldn't skip the first two arcs. Maybe if you're a super busy person, but 50 chapters isn't all that much and reading them would probably help you enjoy the actually good parts a lot more.

The main problem is the anime covers some of the least interesting parts of the manga. It's very faithful and has a good soundtrack, but couldn't skip over the series's dull start.
