>The official website of the Dragon Ball Super television anime series revealed on Monday that the series will begin a "Future Trunks Arc" on June 12. Original creator Akira Toriyama is plotting the story and designing the new characters for the arc, including Future Trunks' design (see pic).
>The new arc follows the conclusion of the "God of Destruction Champa" arc. After the end of the fight between universes six and seven, Goku and friends encounter Future Trunks once more. The website asks, "Why has Future Trunks returned to the present again after defeating Cell and attaining peace?" and "Who will be the future's new enemy?"
>Toriyama teased in a comment that the new enemy will be called "Goku Black." He also teased that the arc will involve both the Gods of Destruction and the Supreme Kai.

what concept/plot point/canon thing in the story will toriyama forget this time?
Kayden Walker
Trunks' hair color seeing as it's blue in the artwork. He should look like this.
Isaiah Brown

Bentley Lee

>Jumping the Shark is the moment when an established long-running series changes in a significant manner in an attempt to stay fresh. Ironically, that moment makes the viewers realize that the show's finally run out of ideas. It's reached its peak, it'll never be the same again, and from now on it's all downhill.
>Some examples of clues which may (although by no means necessarily) indicate that a show's made the "jump": >Gimmicks >The show tries too hard to stay "current", even when it doesn't make any sense, or when the writers are obviously two decades behind the times. >-For animated series, Art Evolution that does the exact opposite, i.e. making the animation even choppier than fluid.

Looks way better desu. I hope Toei uses this color design.
>Toriyama teased in a comment that the new enemy will be called "Goku Black."
Knowing Toriyama, it'll probably end up being some huge joke involving Goku accidentally being the enemy.
Liam Jenkins
Nah, "Goku" is spelt using katakana in the statement, not using the kanji they use for the real Goku's name. So it's going to be someone Goku-like, but not actually Goku.
Also his base form (with the mask still on) easily beat up SS4 Goku and Vegeta and still matched SS4 Gogeta

Toei is trying too hard to the point where it makes them look like a kid writing a fanfiction.

IT'S ALT TIMELINE RADITZ.

Toriyama drew kids trunks with blue hair years ago, and he was still purple haired on the show. He just liked drawing him with blue hair occasionally. Pic related
