Sugita can make any scene memorable.

Sopranos had good scenes. Shame anime hasn't evolved to that level of maturity yet. I suppose often the nukes are blamed. But Japan had tentacle porn long before

For a single scene the most important things for me are shot composition(cinematography) and music.
I doubt anything will ever dethrone the train ride from Spirited Away as my favorite scene from an anime.

Good music and visually pleasing. And/Or emotionally powerful.

>Rec thread

Daily reminder that any thread could, potentially, be a rec thread.

Peko's match in Ping Pong was god tier

There are threads that are potentially and then there are threads that are 100% rec threads like this thread

>For a single scene the most important things for me are shot composition(cinematography) and music.
This.

Except this is clearly a discussion thread, because OP asks specifically for reasons why people find certain scenes are memorable.
Rec thread means a thread in which people are specifically asking for anime to watch, not any thread that discusses good things.

I reccommend you kill yourself

Music is definitely a huge part. All of the scenes that made me tear up wouldn't have done so if it weren't for the music.

Gunbuster's ost is stellar in that regard.

Or maybe OP you has half a brain and knows that blatant rec threads won't get you recs

No need to be so defensive OP

Looks like you're the retard, because those two posts can't be the same person.

SamFlam was horrible.

Anybody can use multiple mobile devices, just like you did OP

Stay deluded faggot. Neither of those were the OP, I am.

I didn't intend at all for this to be a rec thread. The important part is the first half of the post, I only added the second half because why the fuck not.

The dash amount of Butthurt.

I don't know why you're even bothering to respond to him.

And I'm Jesus just because I said so with no proof like you are.

Good build up with good characters, or if it's an action or moral that I really admire such as being a good father or standing up and being a man.

10/10 scenes or episodes:
K-On!! Episode 20, and several other episodes
Natsume Yuujinchou, the bully ghost.
Lucky Star, Konata's mom
Diebuster finale
Last episode of YZQ Tsuki OVAs
Kotestsujin Jeeg, double jeegs
The confession in Overman King Gainer
Kissu in Haruhi

Emotional impact?
If I can remember it years after watching it, then it's memorable.

...

As nice as it looks, it kinda misses the entire point. That describes the whole anime adaptation. OPM was meant to be a satire of the whole over-the-top superhero genre. By turning into just an over-the-top superhero show, it kinda defeats the whole point.

...

I hope Yuasa comes back soon.

Great music (or well done lack of music), emotional, or if it's very intense and gets my blood going.

Usually a 10/10 scene for me has some sort of impact, make the viewer angry, sad, happy, whatever and couple it with a great soundtrack. But everything has to be tied together in a good way, realizations shown and maybe a memory or two depending on what happened. These kinda things are usually at the end of a movie or something though.

Been like four years since this came out and I dont even remember the title, but wasn't this the best girl who ended up losing her memories?

...

>10/10 scenes

here you go.

sound design can make a scene 10/10. no matter its significance or shot composition, if the sound design isn't on par it can never reach 10/10 status.

I thought KnK was extremely forgettable in its entirety. People tend to praise the fifth movie, but the only really memorable scene for me was the wheelchair girl from the first one and I yet I still barely remember anything about her.

i found the visual/audio combo to be excellent through all movies desu.

my fav is probably the 2nd one.

>you'll never punch a greatsword

By the way, this is an example of a 10/10 scene

Oh yes, other people watched kamisama no memochou. I never see it discussed.

I think you missed the point of the fight.

i couldn't make it past the 2nd episode. is it worth picking up again?

>guy is meant to be the most powerful thing in the universe
>looking for an equal that was prophesized to fight him on Earth
>instead he gets his ass handed to him by a guy so OP that all it takes is one effort filled punch to kill him
It made sense as making fun of capeshit

Probably some that I enjoyed watching with Sup Forums like all the trainwrecks. Chomping chimpanzee was one of them, so was space columbine etc.

LN was better.

What's his name again?

Cinematography, music, and dialogue are all important. Also I have to actually care about the characters.

Build up that I'm invested in.

just a few

Pic related.

Those last two matches were way too good

youtube.com/watch?v=KiB_DwLKC_g
Just watched this episode again. You can really feel the desperation after episodes and episodes of trying, and then BAM!

Usually, music can set the mood for a great scene.

Pic related.

Another thing that can set up a great scene is everything leading up to the big deal.

Sometimes, shock value will make things memorable (the first episode of Ga Rei Zero, Madoka's 3rd episode, the end of Gakkou Gurashi's 1st episode).

Surprised at lack of Clannadman.

youtube.com/watch?v=kE38SKRT4ak

Pic related too.

The date episode with senjougahara in bake. Somehow the whole episode just resonated with me

Scenes with intense build up really get me

Freeman did it better

Fuck you. it still hurts ;-:

>his head morphs into the net when he jumps
Quality.

God those fuckin subs

"Its Bang-on!"

>there are people who will unironically say that Ping Pong has bad art

...

I understand why they do it, but I hate how the faces show through the net.

>Look at my eyes, Faye.

That was a damn good scene, right along with the Betamax tape one.

the net is erased on purpose to show the faces better, dumbass.

Most overrated scene and character in 20 years

Kyon sucks
So does Zenkichi

Muh normal guy among specials

I got a good laugh when that happened.

And it looks like shit.

>I can hear the whole scene playing in my head

I should rewatch this show.

Anyone watched Black Bullet? Remember that scene with the loli wolf girl sitting under a tree dead, after she blew her brains out? Yeah, that was 10/10 scene for me.

...

delete urself u tripshit

>urself
>u
>no capitalization
>no punctuation
Follow your own advise.

Maybe it's just been too long but the only scene I really remember from Haruhi is
>"That's why I'm going to kill you and see how Ms. Suzumiya reacts"

Kong had a hard life.

Last fight from Sword of the Stranger
Char decapitating Kycilia
Kinoshita invading the studio(Shirobako's penultimate episode)
Ryougi killing a bunch of zombies while Tomoe watches

>Ms. Suzumiya
guessing you watched the dub?

This entire battle scene, including the music.

Characters, music, dialogue and the meaning behind it.

Monogatari has some great scenes.

snek a shit
A SHIT

MS paint flash videos don't count as anime

Buildup, music, and visual impact. It can be one, two, or all three together. For example, in Sakamichi no Apollon, the scene at the rooftop in episode 10 with the electric guitar music was very memorable for me simply because of the music and buildup, the visuals weren't anything special. On the other hand, pretty much every episode of Uchouten Kazoku has a memorable scene because of its visuals. The whole few last episodes were also memorable because of the buildup.

I don't even watch this show and I'm here laughing like an idiot at this.

End of Evangelion has so many great scenes.

...

That last episode really was great. I should rewatch it at some point

Well it's a 12/10 of course it'd be overrated

Music has to match the mood

Names plz

...

Lurk forever.

i need a long build up and showing all the struggles before hand along with flashbacks during the climax to past struggles

harems often do this but it ends up being awful

kill urself

Then why do people say One Punch Man is a good anime?

because of dank memes

WAAAAAAAN PAAAAAAAAWNNCH MUN

Im not even sure why this scene is so memerable. I think its because of the drastic change in art style for just the one shot, but whatever it was, it worked

I can't stop looooviiinnngggg youuuu

a.pomf.cat/mmtskw.webm
This is a pretty recent one. The way the voices start to become muffled and how she continues her inner monologue really made me feel sad for her.

As you mentioned, the change in art when the close-up happens, the sudden break after a second of silence in a scene where it appeared that Edward had just let go, and the moment the door opens the ending starts playing with such a relaxing tone for a dramatic entrance

Still love this adaptation

here, let me spoonfeed ya user. they are all from the last 50 episodes of hunterxhunter.

deen found a way
