Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken

It's sort of atypical because it starts after the couple has already fallen in love and gotten married, which is where most love stories in general stop off. I think it gives a very funny, accurate, and poignant perspective into what most relationships, including marriages, are like for the average person.

I've enjoyed other love stories in anime before; Toradora, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Oreshura, Chunibyo, etc. But I think Danna stands out because it seems so much more realistic than most of these other stories. It seems like a story that could really happen, if it doesn't already.

I think Katangatari is probably my favorite love story in anime. Chitoge's last words are gorgeous and a perfect capstone to a relationship.

Toradora is the best love story anime, where the focal point is the love story rather than other things.

Tatami Galaxy captures friendship much better than love, but the love story is up there.

TWGOK has a surprisingly sincere love story tucked in.

I was surprised by how low quality a lot of the shoujo romances were. I expected better and I think I've seen nearly all of them.
