What i the word 'nigger' never existed?

How would society and race be different today if the term 'nigger' or a substitute phrase was never coined?

Also bonus question, when did the word first come into popular usage? Because it seems to have been popularised to the point that it has by hip-hop more than anything, and i you listen from blues and through African American music up until gangsta rap it was rarely used relative to the past 30 years.

The original word in English is 'neger' and comes from 'negro', which means 'dark'.

We would have made up another word that means the same thing to label subhumans with.

Do you think it will matter? All that will happen is that niggers won't use it to call wypipo racist, they'll come up with some other term like blackie. "Nigger" not existing won't do shit about the Jews' stranglehold on Western countries nor their manufactured narrative that whites will always oppress blacks.

Then black would of become the new nigger

There's literally a whole country named "nigger"

They would be called negroes then.

Holy shit. You are stupid. They would be offended by a different word.

toss up between faggot and Jew. In Canada those 2 words for used frequently in place of 'nigger' in schools. "Jews" were used primarily in public schools.

The wire made project niggers too human and intelligent when really they're apes.

Honestly, most of the niggers in the wire were likeable, especially omar

nigger is a color op, we in mexico call them NEGROS negro=black, easy peasy

Afrikaners use word "mutts", as I recall from Blood Diamond.

>How would society and race be different today if the term 'nigger' or a substitute phrase was never coined?
>or a substitute phrase was never coined?

nigger in itself wasn't intended to be a pejorative word. It was applied to despicable subhumans, so it became a negative word. Nothing wrong with the word negro, black, it was applied to the dumb, worthless former slaves, they gave the word a bad connotation not vica versa.

I'd say hippie culture normalised it and brought it into the mainstream.

Wallace was by far the most sympathetic character, and yes Omar was the ultimate anti-hero.

The Wire dealt with race beautifully. By making it completely non-existent to anything relevant in the show. If The Wire was made today they'd never let them do it without a muhh racist cops muhh oppression spin that would have rendered the entire thing bland and pointless.

PewDiePie would be apologizing for yelling "Fucking COON!" instead

>or a substitute phrase was never coined?
that's an oxymoron. No matter what word you use, if you use it to shit, it'll mean shit and it'll be a rude phrase. Niggers are the human equivalent of shit. Black as a colour is not a negative thing in itself. Negro and its variants are nothing like the pejorative terms flea-swinger, cat-eater, homeless, untouchable. These are negative words people described the ethnicities they hated with. The word neger was just a neutral description of black people.

WHERE THE FUCK IS WALLACE, STRING?

Nigrum is the latin word for tge color black and for black people, it passed on to portuguese as negro but neger actually came from french

When a word describes a bad thing, it becomes a bad word. As long as you're using language to describe Africans, "nigger" will exist in some form or another.

I thought nigger was based off ignorant.

Then another of the 20 black racial slurs would have become the prominent one.
I like Porch Monkey myself because of Clerks 2.

So you mean if we lacked the vocabulary to identify negroes as a separate ethnic group? Well I don't think language would be complex enough to support civilisation in that case
