The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Teruya is heading right into a trap : Osamu doesn't seem to care one bit, Yuma too, and mostly Chika hasn't made a step to get out of her spot, contrarily to the last rank wars.

Maybe, but Yuma's decision to help Osamu was to secure three points rather than one for what I'm guessing

I certainly hope this is case.

But then again, the plan could be that Kuga moves to help Osamu clean up while Chika switches it up between Black Lightning and Ibis shots to indefinitely delay Teruya until backup arrive.

Predicting a Katori flashback next chapter

I'm thinking this too. For both of Chika's protectors to be ignoring the danger approaching her means they really have a plan to stop threats in the event that they get past them or they trust that Chika will be able to stop her on her own and leave her waiting to be finished off by them.

Katori flashback incoming? I'm probably going to feel bad for her if she gets taken out without doing anything next week, even though I think she's mostly a cunt.

I wish I could believe it, but the foreshadowing at the beginning of the battle says Chika's going down.

I always love it when stoic characters like Somei have to break down and admit that they didn't think things through enough. They've got their flaws but Tamakoma-2 are strong, no matter what Ninomiya says.

I'd like to point out that Kuga has more of an hourglass figure than Katori right now.

Here's a fun question. Does this battle suggest that the WT data book's stats on Osamu, especially in regards to things like command and Defense/Support, were off the mark? This is some high level Keikaku, so even the command of 6 may not cover it.

A Databook is never accurate unless it's released after the series ended.

Border's stats on Osamu is not that great. It can be a situation where Border give Osamu better stats after this match. Like after the next data book.

While I more or less agree, Chika's BBF lists her as using the Lead Bullet so it's not really based on chronology. Rather, his stats are low because Border assessed him as such, which is certainly a running theme with Osamu. People underestimate him and while he's not at all a prodigy, he definitely swings a lot harder than his meager stats might imply.

I remember Ashihara stating in the BBF that there were some stats that weren't put in so as to not clutter the graphs and make it confusing for the readers. One of them was "potential".
I assuming then, that Osamu's "potential" is decently high?

Aside from that, last chapter Kakizaki stated that he believed his teammates' stats were higher than what Border's evaluation system says they are. Stats like "Trion" are easy to gauge, but "Command" can't be measured unless you're in battle.
Agents are evaluated on traits they exhibit. I'm guessing after this battle, Osamu's "Command" and "Support" are going to go up.

The Afterword of the BBF explains this:

I don't think so. His command is already pretty high for his age and as successful as his plan has been, there's a big difference between these opponents and the ones from the previous battle.

So, with this battle winding down what can each squad learn from this?

Kakizaki will learn about risks obviously. As for Katori, that depends on her upcoming flashback. There could be a backstory there as to why they formed a team together while calling each other by their first names.

He uses 3x3x3 cubes so that's 27 bullets.
It doesn't matter though because he can still do 5x5x5 as well it's just that bullets will be weaker, slower and have less range since less Trion will be distributed to them.

I've heard speculation of them being friends since they were young. They did all join at the same time so it could be possible

So, speculation time, Katori was aiming to join Kako squad but she couldn't so her childhood friends decided to make their own squad and let her be captain to make her feel better?

Chika got the splash page showing the battle area. The same thing happened with the previous two battles, and each time the featured character (Osamu, then Yuma) died at the climax of the battle.

I think Katori needs to suck it up and hit Yuma even if Kakizaki get the point. She can still pick up Osamu as a point if he is gone

Technically, losing team mates doesn't lose any points, it just gives the other team points.
On the other hand it would be far more impressive to have an 8-0-0 sweep in the mid B-team tier.

Maybe something like a Trion lead claymore set up by Chika.

8-0-0 sounds too optimistic. Especially since it feels like any of T-2 has a good chance of going down. Chika still is mostly defenseless if you get in her range. Osamu is still Osamu for the most part. And Yuma is at 5% health and 50% trigger ability

Can you imagine if Osamu and Kuga actually bailed on Katori to go help Chika? She can see the wires, yes but with one arm, one leg, leaking trion I can't imagine her being enough of a threat to stop them if they decided to leave.

Then again, she could shock us all by rage quitting because she finds the situation too hard like she'd done with her class changes. before.

Then again, that'd go against the lessons that are being taught in this battle with Taka2 playing the villainous heels.

Or she could be just hopping around on one leg this whole time. I'd want to see that animated.

That just looks like trion smoke to me. Having the rest of the pages may be helpful in sorting this out.

I would say 5% battery than health. He's lost too much Trion so even with no damage just having Scorpion break a few times will be dangerous.

So if Teruya with Kogetsu manages to force him to block instead of parry/avoid she could force him to bail out.

I say that based on the stats of the the other characters.
10 is what your average human can reach with training. Beyond 10 is what talented people can reach, but that seems to be capped at 14 (even Viza for all his supposed battle experience only has 14 in skill). Jin seems to be the only exception with 15 in Defense/Support, OP SE is OP.

Anyone else with higher than 14 in a single stat is either a cyborg or a BT user.

I hope this doesn't happen because if it does then he'll have to continue the pattern and we all know next time we get a spread it will be Hyuse in his first battle.

Also in this sort of situation it may be better for Chika to keep fighting and try to hobble Teruya. At this stage in the game Teruya is practically worth 3 points so doing everything you can to keep her from holing up until the timer runs out is vital.

Osamu with keikaku going doori becomes somewhat trigger-happy. And I love it.

Speaking of, how much trion has he actually used? Spider isn't intense but he's filled quite a wide area with webs and now he's firing off bullets on top of that. Not to mention his shield mode Raygust he's been blocking a fair number of shots with. He seems to be quite active.

I don't think blocking shots with the Raygust consumes trion unless it breaks

He used a lot of it, but for the shield he used only the amount needed to create it.

I would speculate he used at least 60-70% with the amount of wires and bullets he used.

Afaik attacker weapons have the initial cost and only require more if it breaks. Shield mode puts all the trion it had for damage into defense so no new trion is required

It probably does. It probably doesn't. We know forming raygust the handle uses trion.
We know forming the blade and shield. The variable part, ya know? uses trion.
As far as we know nothing else uses trion. It could be, and it couldn't be using trion on contact with bullets when used as shield, or with shields/bodies when used as blade.

You don't need to make threads. Just show up to the WSJD thread on Monday and the spoiler threads Thursdays/Fridays. They usually last long enough to reach the other. Threads have gotten more active since the anime ended.
