What's /pol's opinion on single payer health care?

Sanders is out stumping for it again. Is it a good idea?

Where's animal control? Who let this Great Ape behind our future president?

The US has 300 million people
40% of them are obese
50% of them have an IQ below 95
20% are smokers
55% are drinkers
God knows how many eat fast food and processed foods
13% are niggers
40% are spics who eat greasy fattening food
Plus kids

Now factor in all that and realize the US has to pay for all that in the country which already has the most expensive medical treatments in the world without socialized healthcare.

For the US to spend the same on health care per person as say Norway, we'd have to spend more than 5x the DoD budget, which is already like 50% of the whole budget.

In conclusion, it's fucking retarded

no concentration camps = no single payer health care

You have an extra middle man making fat profits. That's why you spend twice as much per person for worse outcomes. You've been cucked by the insurance companies.

>You've been cucked by the insurance companies.
Because the gov would be so much better

We have orders of magnitude superior outcomes unless youre a worthless fuck who works at mcdonalds. Moved to the US from canada because i couldnt stand the cuckery, canada doesnt even have a fucking healthcare system compared to the US.

Also this. There's a reason why people come to the US just for medical treatment.

Who the hell would vote for a single-payer car industry?! It's literally retarded. We need to go the route of Singapore.

>Who the hell would vote for a single-payer car industry
Nig nogs who want gibs, duh

>implement a system that they can't even get off the ground in the two most liberal states in the union with higher and lower populations (California and Vermont)
>implement said system on a federal level with 330 million people and $20 trillion in the red while also paying for the defense of NATO nations which is why they're able to have single payer in the first place besides high white populations
What could go wrong?

The US has the finest health care system in the third world. With single payer, it might progress to first world norms.

profit motive and free market fundamentalism does not work with health care

health insurance companies provide no added value, their business model is to deny care and impede the doctor's job, that is how they maximize profit.

the entire for profit health insurance industry is a net drain on the economy, yet due to lobbying bribery money they cannot be eliminated

>

every time i go see a doctor in usa he/she is chinese or indian hahahahahah

I suppose the statistics on cancer survival rates are lies, and the US doesn't dominate Nobel Prizes in medicine. Go do your research, fuck.

Holy shit. They are barely holding onto Obamacare and that shit didn't even have a public option.

The Dems should first try for a publicnoption like Romneycare. I am on it now, between jobs. Mandate state run public option alongside private healthcare.

They are going fully up their ass if they think they can getvsingle payer going.

government should not be in healthcare at all. not even medicare or medicaid. government should even fucking exist except to uphold property rights

Clearly they are. Britian is a shining example. Now bin your knives and pay your tv liscense.

are we gonna havr a two hour conversation about streets?

That's also true but also the fact American doctors are the most highest paid in the world which creates this annoying effect of foreign educated doctors trying to immigrate to America to earn higher wages.

So doctor salaries will need to be notched down a lot if socialized medicine happens.

you want streets join a neighbourhood association and pay your annual fee that goes towards the building and maintenance of streets

>50% of them have an IQ below 95
Nigger do you even know how IQ works?

the entire for profit health insurance industry is a net drain on the economy, yet due to lobbying bribery money they cannot be eliminated

This is what I would do if I was President.

Make a new military branch outside Air Force, Navy, Army.

Make it a Medical Only Branch.

From now on, anybody who wants to be a doctor has to join the military in that specific branch.

And then they get free education in return for several years of pro bono medial service before being honorably discharged.

>Because the gov would be so much better
Look at what Americans pay for medications compared to the rest of the world. Here in Norway the government will tell the pharmaceutical companies to fuck off and come back with a better price if they charge too much. That doesn't happen in the US.

RARE

Looks like a half toad half monkey.
Where the fuck did they find that cryptid, and why the hell they gave it clothes

Can someone please explain to me how Sanders managed to actually be pro-actively Socialist throughout the Cold War?

He was on the side of the Stasi, wasn't he?

he was a literal who. thats how

Being a nobody doesn't mean you side with the Stasi.

apologies i thought u meant how was he pro socialist and not picked up on it

The 'free trade' issue and medical costs and research numbers are linked. The US is the only industrialized nation without a VAT tax, which countries like Germany refund partially if they export their products to the US. The has the highest corporate tax rate in the world because of the need to still collect revenue. Medical research is similar in that regard, if the US negotiated prices like other countries the world would be deprived of funding and fucked on medical advancement. The deems wouldn't do it because of this reason alone, although they botched. It's like the marshal plan is still in effect essentially. You're raping us world. DJT has a degree in high finance and has been talking about this stuff for 35 years consistently.

Ahhh nah yorright Bruce I see what you mean. Nah by "how" I mean "how in his right mind" because holy fuck, what a cunt you'd have to be, right?

It's not a bad idea if
>Obese people, smokers, and others with preventable risk factors are taxed more
>It only applies to legal US citizens
>Funds are cut from other welfare programs to offset the cost

But I doubt the above would happen, so speaking generally, it's really dumb and unrealistic.

R A R E

Bought any machetes lately?

>50% of them have an IQ below 95
What is the problem with this sentence?

This is the best idea imo.

Public option can provide cheap care for low income people and help prevent monopolies and unfair practices that liberals are also so worried about,

but also allow the free market to do it's thing, and provide top of the line care to those who can afford the costs.

Everybody wins.

Nah, I'm white. Blacks only kill each other here, I'm safe.

fugging saved

>if the US negotiated prices like other countries the world would be deprived of funding and fucked on medical advancement

>Thus, there is little evidence of an association between research and development costs and drug prices; rather, prescription drugs are priced in the United States primarily on the basis of what the market will bear.

it works really well in our country though, it's not the end of the world, pic related

Exactly. Everyone else pays less because we pay more. Not in disagreement with you on that.

You pay more because you are unable to negotiate prices. Don't blame your incompetence on the rest of the world.

The point I'm making, is that most of the industrialized world has essentially killed the medical research free market, and we're left alone in this regard. If the US went your way, you'd be screwed on medical advancements. It's money bs like any other industry. I might like to do what most countries do in this regard, but we'd all be fucked because of it. Better you all get some more freedom in your healthcare industries. I know that won't happen though.

oy, you cheeky wanker, that deadly weapon is no laughing matter. now I'm gonna have to fine you for being insensitive.

M8, US isn't the only country in the world involved in medical research and development. Some of the largest pharmaceutical companies are European (GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer etc.)

Doesn't matter if it is a good idea or not. It will probably pass. Republicans are cucks that won't challenge anything, and democrats went so far on the political spectrum; while unlike the republicans they will push their agenda. So, they will pass all their shit no matter what we want.

Certainly, but Europe as a whole has a higher GDP than America..... And where do European companies make high dollar? Look!

I sometimes wonder why I read fantasy when real life is just as strange. Would look at that troglodyte in a museum/10

It really doesn't matter at this point, there is zero percent chance that the US will ever begin to pay down our debt.
Does anyone really think we may?

I'm saying it's a race to the bottom in regards to medical research and backhanded tax rules. The US investment in medical research is almost 50% higher with less GDP, and somehow Germany dominates the US in trade. I don't necessarily want to play by their rules, but we may have no choice eventually.

Its a bad idea in general its even worse in a "diverse" society.

...

>/pol
kys faggot

Get that thing off the planet

Yeah the us military has a single payer system and look how well thats turning out....
