Burden of proof is on your ex for these accusations, and since there isnt any proof of your alleged abuse it wont go anywhere. The truth will literally set you free, my man.

I suggested to my lawyer to have him testify about my character, how the relationship was since he heard about it often and hung out with us a lot, and how mentally unhinged the bitch could be. But my lawyer says he doesn't know if that's useful or if he'd get a chance to testify.

I am not an attorney but I would write a statement that clearly explains what happened with the argument, shows the argument in context to your ongoing relationship and explains that you would prefer not to see this particular individual again but you also don't want to be put in a situation where you inadvertently break a restraining order and face severe and long term consequences for an unstable individual.
Write the statement out and have an attorney go over it and help you with it.
