When looking at the amount of stem graduate for the following countries per 1000 people each year, we have:

Iran is shia, not Sunni, and has a Persian base for their culture, not Arab. In the end it's actually not Islam, it's Arab culture which is only incidentally tied with Islam. Persians are fine, even if their government is a bit adversarial. Meanwhile, the Arab people themselves range from uselessly insular to having such a low opinion on us that they'll basically sexually assault any white people because they're not human to Arabs.

Phoenix University has a shit load of graduates too. Doesn't mean they're worth a shit, just like an Iranian or Chinese "STEM" degree.
Iranian degrees are significantly harder than american degrees. Unlike in the US, asian countries don't have multiple choice exams.
The fact that most of your TA and professors in engineering and physics/chemistry are iranian or indian, means that those iranian or chinese degrees are good enough to be teaching burger kids.
