I just had one mother growing up from the age of 4 basically, the only reason I didn't turn out like most single mother kids is because of the religious backing my mother had, I still wish I had a proper father but it worked out so it doesn't really matter. He is looking at the effects on kids of marriages breaking because a partner left due to homosexuality, not how two gay people do as parents. If anything this is evidence in FAVOR of gay marriage since stable gay households do equivalently in parent raising from the rather scanty data we have on that far (all obtained from convenience samples). The way Regnerus and Sullins work is they do research on broad groups where sometimes a gay parent left a marriage after kids had been born and the kids were worse off as a result from being raised by a single parent. The issue here is the single parenting not them being gay and they often misrepresent kids who were raised by heterosexual parents who married and divorced a gay partner, as being raised by that gay partner even if they weren't. We have ZERO randomly sampled studies showing how gay married couples do raising kids compared to married straight couples because there are only about 10000 estimated Australian gays with kids and that is enough to matter legally but not enough to be sampled easily.
