Can we have an Aizen thread?

I realize that Bleach took a deep drop in quality. But Aizen was one of the most interesting and charismatic villains I've ever seen. Dio tier.

I'm going to remake this thread. How do none of you have an opinion on this?

Based Aizen

Kubo's self insert

>Admiration is the feeling furthest from understanding

If you consider yourself an Aizen fanboy you're no better than Hinamori.

Kisuke is the real villain anyways

Fair assertion. He's still incredibly well written. He and Dio are the best villains in modern entertainment.

His dying words in the manga pretty much disprove this.

geez those fight sequences are fucking boring. The music and his monologue is the only thing really carrying that at all.

I have a feeling once Ichigo defeats Yhwach, we'll have an Aizen arc.

Show me a better curbstomp in anime. I'll wait.

Just off the top of my head.

One of the few reasons Bleach can still be entertaining at times.

I watched for two minutes and got bored. Do you understand the parallels between this and Aizen?

Nah no, katanagatari curbstomp was amusing because you could see how badly those guys were using the swords, every single one of them failed to understand what made the swords dangerous in the first place.

Aizen was more of a pure curbstomp, soul society did their best, and they still got soloed by a single guy.

A-Aizen-sama

youtube.com/watch?v=LTJeQyt4pw0

I'll say this. When I was a LJfag, i used Aizen as my avatar. Fat bitch gushed over me simply changing my avatar.

I want to fug Aizen and mindbreak him with my dick.

If there is anything that could turn me gay, it's Aizen. His charisma is superhuman.

I really Aizen had taken momo with him to hueco mundo, just to see the butthurt in soul society.

Momo a shit. Not cute, and she's insane. She is the anti-waifu.

Well, cant really blame her, anyone would go insane if they were stabbed and left for dead by the person they loved most.

She also looks good with empty eyes, that creepiness suits her.

Dude, in a series with Yoruichi, Rukia, and Orihime you're choosing Momo? That's nonsense.

Truth be told my favorite character is Halibel, I just pity Momo, being betrayed is a hard thing to take.

>Orihime
Opinion discarded

Gin was a better character. Seriously. His story and personality was far stronger than Aizen's.

>personality
Subjective.
>His story
Rangiku's not even dead

I felt Rangiku story too forced, Aizen supposedly took something from her soul, and yet Rangiku was able to become captain level.

He could not have taken anything like shinigame power from her, or she would have not become a shinigami.

It was rape? Because surely we really needed another pointless reminder that Aizen was the villain of the story.

Kubo himself said that he had no idea that Aizen would be the villain in the end, Gin was supposed to be the true villain before kubo had the whole Aizen idea, in other words the whole ginxrangiku backstory was done in a rush to patch over one more of the plot holes.

Gin deserved better.

>dio tier

please dont compare that shit with bleach. bleach actually sells manga and anime. jojos cancer doesnt

>Rangiku
>Captain level

>Gin was supposed to be the true villain
This is extremely new to me. Please elaborate.

It was the manga or one databook that said that, dont take it from me, Renji and Ikaku are also "captain level", and they job all the time.

Kubo really dropped the ball when he disappeared Tatsuki.

What would've happened if Tatsuki joined the main cast from the start? It was a shame her character didn't get expanded upon.

The story would be a lot better. And fanservicey. But better.

It was in one of the early interviews where kubo talked about the beginning of bleach, back when ichigo was still hunting hollows in the streets of karakura, kubo already had some ideas about soul society and the characters, but only Gin was written was a villain.

Aizen was at first just a normal captain that would be killed off to up the tension, It was only when kubo was writing Aizen death scene that he had the idea of recreating Aizen as a villain and use his death scene as a plot twist.

Had kubo not changed his mind we would never have Aizen as the real villain.

Based

Very interesting. If you could link a source, I would love you.

I think its the JUMP Festival, December(-ish) 2008 interview.

>Kubo: “Aizen will become more evil"

>Kubo: “At first I did not plan Aizen to become the shadow behind everything. I just thought he will become the enemy after he was killed

>The flow to Kubo’s plan:

>There was trouble in Seireitei--> that’s it! Lets kill Aizen!--> The most exciting person to make him/her the culprit--> That’s it! Let’s make himself the culprit!

Guess I remember wrong, I did remember kubo talking about Gin being the villain, but I cant find it in any of the interviews.

But yeah, the idea of making Aizen the real villain only came after kubo "killed" him.

Good shit. Thanks for the info. Let's all talk more Aizen.

You think you like Aizen? Fool, it was my plan from the start to make you feel that way about me, your entire life was leading up to this moment.

Was he anything but "i was merely pretending, i'm the one who fooled you from the start?" I mean i don't see how that's interesting, it just feels like a cop out because of how much he does it. Not that it wasn't fun to watch, but still.

You can dismiss him as an asspull, but Kubo did an extremely good job of building him up. I really can't name a better anime villain.

In terms of "oh shit" factor sure, but otherwise there was plenty of interesting villains who have good writing that aren't just people who pull the rug from everyone's feet when they think they have the advantage, because "muh plan".

But really, Japanese entertainment is all about the 'oh shit' factor. The ones that claimed the market speak for themselves. I just can't get into manga that are primarily image based. I need words to interest me.

Then why the fuck are you in a manga thread?

I made this thread.

Some of the things Aizen did were really amusing, but no doubt kubo asspulled some things for him, cant blame him, making a manga like that while editors are always screaming about deadlines cant be easy.

Oh no doubt. Deadliners are the fucking death of mangakas. He did the best with the time he had.

I can't believe that anyone can be this delusional lmao

A lot of people shit on him for relying on a magical gem to become nigh invincible, but I thought it was very entertaining watching him do crazy shit on the battlefield and get rewarding by said gem to become even stronger. It's almost like he tried to use heroic powerups, even as a villain. And after sitting on his ass for 200 chapters, it was fun to have him finally fight a whole slew of heroes.

Unless she has a Bankai or some magic anal beads, she's nowhere near captain level

Yeah no doubt about it. Especially for me considering I got into anime thanks to bleach around 10 years ago.

I like his charisma and that hair is beautiful as fuck.

I just don't understand why he's OP as fuck for no good reason, with no explanation. How is he able to murk all of these other captains who have been training for hundreds of years with 0 effort?

...

Only Kyouraku,Ukitake, Unohana and Yamamoto are hundreds of years old. The rest of them are either younger or the same age as Aizen.

Firstly Aizen is that strong because he explains in SS arc that he has mastered all 4 Shinigami techniques. (Sword, Kidou, Shunpo and Hand-to-Hand) so he's at the very peak a Shinigami can get and the only way to get stronger is to obtain Hollow powers.

Secondly Yamamoto is actually stronger than Aizen, who beat him by outsmarting him and creating an Arrancar specifically to counter him (Wonderweiss).

Aizen is stronger than Yamamoto.

You know why?

Aizen defeated him in battle. Bleach isn't base powerlevel bullshit outside of Aizen cucking everyone through reiatsu.

>He and Dio are the best villains in modern entertainment.
Bold claim.

...

Thing is, all the captains, with the exception of Yamamoto, were drained because of the fight with the Espada.

Take Soifon. The whole "battle of reiatsu""your reiatsu is pitifully inferior to mine" etc is true, yes, but she had already fired her Bankai twice AND lost her arm.
She looked absolutely exhausted even after the first shot, but then she had to fire another one.

Now, I'm pretty sure Aizen would have still flossed his perfect teeth with her hair as he did, but maybe she wouldn't have looked like a complete failure if she were in a better, fresher condition. Same applies for the other captains.

It is when Ichigo is involved.

With everyone else it's highly specific Rock Paper Scissors.

Who's the best then?

I don't know about best but pic is pretty good.

Exactly. Another point to make is how some of the captains like Kyouraku didn't even use his bankai against Aizen so they weren't even going all out against him.

Also if Aizen was OP as fuck, then was does that make Yhwach, the guy who counters everything because he's "almighty"?

literally "psh nothin personnel" character

>one of the most interesting and charismatic

You know very few villains then. Aizen's fall was almost comical. He was a dumb, incompetent strategist who only got as far as he did due to an immortality power up.

>Exactly. Another point to make is how some of the captains like Kyouraku didn't even use his bankai against Aizen so they weren't even going all out against him.

Honestly at that point kubo was clearly already planning a new arc, everyone using bankai against Aizen and the espadas would leave no mysteries and no one would buy the manga anymore.

People not using bankai would not make sense otherwise, Aizen was literally chopping arms and legs off, when would be the right time to use bankai if Aizen was really the last villain of the manga? After he killed everyone?

Granted that in Kyouraku case it would be dangerous to use bankai against Aizen, if he was not careful his bankai would kill yamamoto by mistake thanks to kyoka suigetsu.

Aizen is the life support of Bleach. Kubo has to realize this. He better do something fucking spectacular before YHWH bites it.

He wasn't even using strategy. That is clear in the video I posted. He was simply better than all of the competition. He had reached the apex of what a Shinigami can be.

Alright. When he tried to be a strategist he would go full retard. Not exactly the hallmark of a good villain.

>he's simply better than all the competition

So that...makes him charismatic and interesting? It sounds like it makes him boring.

What strategy are you talking about? The one where he successfully fooled soul society for 100 years? The one where he successfully baited ichigo on a pointless chase by capturing Orihime, making soul society waste manpower helping ichigo and cutting their strength in half? The one where he successfully won a fight alone against more than ten captains by himself?

The only reason Aizen lost is because he is not the protagonist of the manga.

Aizen looks pretty comfy in his chair. I'm not convinced he lost.

haven't you heard? I'm Aizen-kun

The hypnosis.

Is it complete, perfect, or infinite?

Kubo's self insert is Uryu, he's even stated such.

Interesting. What specifically does he identify with in Ishida?

>I realize that Bleach took a deep drop in quality
no, it took a quality drop into DEEP. most casualfags can't into the foreshadowing and hidden meaning shit kubos pulling now

>le unstoppable evil incarnate
nah

He never used a bankai did he?

Oh, I totally admit that he'll pull the rug like the initial Aizen reveal. He's better at that than even Oda.

Nope. That's definitely going to be one of the biggest bombs dropped in the story.

What did Aizen do to Rangiku? Obviously he 'stole part of her soul' but was she raped?

Fashion design, his appearance, and his personality.

Aizen didn't do shit, it was his lackeys, a bunch of anonymous mooks.
So of course they raped her.

Cool. Makes perfect sense.

Which Aizen is best? Final form is pretty cool, but I prefer pic related.

...

Nice.

glasses

Good taste user, i'm proud of you
I really like that transformation too but I think my favorite is still glasses

Good taste.

>does nothing but MUH KEIKAKU and asspulls
Then again it's Bleach so standards have to be lowered to even enjoy the fucking thing.
So in the land of unquality characters yes, Aizen is such a great villain

>unquality
ESL detected. Opinion discarded.

>Oh shit, it's the other way around!

He reverses the situation in seconds. This I'll admit is complete bullshit.

I'm sure Aizen just made shit up as he went along.

>inb4 Rukiafags start shitposting

That was Kubo.

>>inb4 Rukiafags start shitposting
You're inviting it, you fucking chimp.

You don't even know what shitposting is, newfag.

Aizen is mine and mine alone. You can fuck off
