The guesses on ancestry are really kind of a meme. Everyone has different models and it's not really an exact science.

It's more accurate for finding relatives.

>found out that my grandfather had an unknown first cousin (grandfather's uncle had a child out of wedlock)
>found out that one of my grandfather's cousins (son of a different uncle) ALSO had a child out of wedlock (grandfather's first cousin once removed).

But in terms of "Ancestry", it's more guesses.
This is my 23andme result...

received my 23andme report yesterday, i am half spanish/danish but apparently, i am neither
according to 23andme

i don't believe these DNA tests are reliable though,

and me on ancestry. Quite a bit of variance there.

The "Middle eastern" DNA that Ancestry detects extends well into southern Italy, for instance. They're making some very broad assumptions on a lot of their calculations.

here
This is what I mean by the middle east thing. The map that shows all the regions is deceptive compared to what the regions they calculate actually cover.

They say non-paternity events can be around 10% of births. If it's truly not a match at all that may be a possibility.

Landwhale spotted. Post your deflated udders and leave.

It is statistical. You see inaccurate results in ethnically mixed people at times.

23andme needs to update. Getting a parent on does improve the accuracy.

they are statistical, not reliable 100% but if you were half Iberian there is no way you'd get that little

are you sure your Spanish side was really Spanish and not a migrant him/herself?

This is true because distinct portions of DNA get broken up over the generations especially when people have mixed ancestry. Any DNA below 7cM isn't worth looking at. Having a parent on will result in you having more DNA that is closer to that of the people ethnically from a region.

Getting my mother on 23andme definitely altered the results - the italian percentages upped on my own test.

I'm whiter than 99% of you cretins.

Bitch im /fit/ as fuck

I'm sure you are lady.

Which DNA test is most accurate for your heredity

Nice botnet PUSSY

I used 23andme

then move your happy ass back there

With europe being culturally enriched, no thanks
