I just don't even understand what you're getting at. Yes, Google is an evil giant company, like Facebook and others. But captcha is not some conspiracy, it's a technology that's been around for quite a while and they've been open about how they're using it.

The point of the captcha thing is that Sup Forums is a website that people have access to from all over the world, as are all other places that captcha are used. With this in mind and in light of this is EXTREMELY concerning.

Google is far more likely to just provide things that the government fails to provide, and do the government's job far better than it does, and thereby become a better government. People deserve protection, but the special entity that is "the US government" doesn't deserve special treatment. They earn it. If Google earns it more, then Google will have it.

What is being failed to grasp here is the issue of authority. No matter how "competent" a corporate entity is, if their intent is treasonous, the government has every right and every means to swoop in and take them apart.
