is this the only way to hurt google Sup Forums?
Punish Google

No. This is an Israeli based data mining operation.
then why did google remove it form their app store?
It also runs off of ublock origin, which is not israeli
Nobody gives a fuck faggot. It's obvious that they want to learn the habits and behaviors of Sup Forums users since a lot of them are unplugged from other websites.
I used it for a while, racked up $4.5k (allegedly).
Didn't enjoy it, because it saved copies of every ad I saw, and where I saw it. Additionally, it slowed my browser to a crawl on some sites, at times for a minute or two at a time.
Just get something open-source and simple.
>implying
you realize you can read the source code, and it's the same as ublock's? This means there is no spying on Sup Forums users.
At 75K by now
you can delete your advault though
(((Adnauseam)))
Fuck off Sheklestine
I'm not saying you're wrong for thinking that, but what do you believe the average "data mining" poster thinks is being done with this harvested data? Do you think that massive corps really care about a subset of a subset of a population being exposed to their advertising? Why do these corps think that Sup Forums users are some untapped goldmine?
Then why even have one in the first place?
What I'm saying is, there are other ways of making a point to Google. Turning your computer into what is essentially a targeted network traffic generator isn't the only way.
I started using my own search engine, based off Searx (way better than any other alternative, if you're willing to self-host). There goes all my search analytics.
Wow this is definitely not a shill thread and totally legit :^)
define shill
>Sup Forums is installing addons from open Jews
how low it's fallen...
gee idk man
Saged and reported. Fuck you shills
>t. google counter shills
nice try
Strap in newfags we are going to save the internet all from the comfort of your basement!
>AdNauseam?
AdNauseam is a privacy tool that protects you from Google stalking. It also works as an ad blocker.
It works by clicking on every ad in a secure background process. This obfuscates the user data Google secretly collects about you thereby protecting your privacy. Optionally it also blocks ads from appearing similarly to any other ad blockers.
It also has a secondary effect of generating many clicks Google will have to refund to the advert placing companies, however this effect is not by design but simply a result of Google adopting a flawed model. The more people use AdNauseam, the more Google will have to refund, and the more exposed the flaws of the Google's advertising model to companies. Metaphorically it is a privacy tool that protect and also attack.
Therefore many people discontent with the constant and invasive surveillance are starting to use AdNauseam, as ad blocker, and as a method of voicing their concern to Google.
This whole thing is actually genius. The plug-in itself is totally legal. It has a completely legitimate use, that is to protect against Google's tracking. Because of greed, Google knowingly accepts the risk of selling click counts, a technically flawed concept. AdNauseam is a completely and totally waterproof method of making Google suffer the full consequence of something that is sententiously born from their evil tracking as well as the flawed commercial model of greed. This is some next level golden weapon of mass destruction that they cannot counter. This kills Google dead. It is super effective. That is why the shilling is off the charts. That is why this is so beautiful.
If I was Google, I would actually invest in AdNauseam. Not publicly, of course. This is an excellent way to dominate the market even harder and stomp out the competition. All you need is to fill the internet with more white noise which others will have trouble filtering. Google, with its machine learning, won't.
The only people who can really fuck over Google are so called blackhat marketers. They are real pros. To generate fake clicks, they have an arsenal of sophisticated botnets and they often use malware on normies' computers. They're not volunteers, they have a strong financial incentive for click fraud. AdNauseam is baby-tier. Google has seen it all before. It has fought click wars for more than a decade.
Those refunds you keep talking about do not even come from AdNauseam traffic. They come from professional blackhat botnets that imitate user behavior and are only detected post factum. AdNauseam doesn't even load the page. AdNauseam follows primitive, easily recognizable patterns. AdNauseam traffic is filtered immediately.
Do you think that amateur AdNauseam fanboys are smarter than blackhat gurus? I don't think so.
Here is some insight on how Google battles them. This is from 2015, before AdNauseam took off.
adage.com
So, what do we have in the end? Google's competitors who use outsourced pajeet coders make heavy losses, advertisers just flock to Google because it's the one who can combat click fraud best. Google strengthens its monopoly. Wow, what a victory.
The only thing AdNauseam really does is playing into Google's hands. I am pretty sure the thread is full of Google shills who promote AdNauseam to kill competition and advance their "anti-hate speech" agenda. Every AdNauseam shill can be declared a Google shill at this point.
Oh yeah, have fun passing your real IP address, location and ISP each time an ad is clicked. You are truly doing a good goy's job.
About time you showed up.
>Does it really work?
Yes. And even if it doesn't kill Google, it is a good way to protect your privacy.
Some user have made some estimates, we are doing millions of dollars of simulated damage every day.
Also see archive.fo/ZsqYo for proof. (WSJ article on Google issuing refunds)
Also see the amount of incoherent, desperate shilling that follows every mention of AdNauseam.
>Will Google ban my accounts? Or is CIA going to SWAT me?
Simple answer, no.
You should have degoogled. If you have not, you can prevent them identifying you. (See "Avoiding detection") Either use your neighbour's wifi, use VPN, log out of your accounts, delete cookies, use a different browser, or all of the above. Even if they can correlate your accounts, they would not. Such overreaction is a key signal that is only going to hurt them. Google would just give you Captchas to solve.
Clicking ads is definitely not illegal. (See "Why is this not illegal?")
>Shills are saying it is illegal/it doesn't work/it benefits Google/it benefits competitors/it only hurt small companies/it is made by Jews/etc.
The shilling is obvious and it simply indicates AdNauseam is working as it should. The shills are desperate.
This little browser extension attracts some of the most obvious shilling. The disinfo are incoherent and contradict each other.
AdNauseam is a privacy tool first and foremost. If nothing else, you are protecting yourself from Google profiling your browsing habit. And if it really causes the simulated monetary damage to Google, that is only because of Google's tracking and ad serving model is flawed, not because of the clicks themselves.
Outside of the cartoon boards AdNauseam receives heavy suppression and is getting banned from Chrome and Palememe. The amount of suppression is disproportionate, incoherent, and obvious. It indicates it is super effective.
>hes so retarded the thinks google would spend a shekel to discourage him form using a addon by (((stein))
back to t_D you go
>if i was google i would donate money to an addon that makes me pay money
really makes you think...
>Preparations
1. Go to privacytools.io and harden up your privacy protection in general. Consider using a VPN.
2. Pick one of the recommended browsers, or install separately as a secondary browser for AdNauseam (recommended).
Recommended browsers:
Waterfox or Firefox (only with Random Agent Spoofer plus privacytools.io config and add-ons)
Opera (built-in VPN for extra privacy)
Vivaldi (install AdNauseam manually)
Browsers to avoid:
Brave (can't use AdNauseam, also a meme still in beta)
Chrome (blocked AdNauseam but can workaround, also botnet)
Palemoon (blocked AdNauseam but can workaround)
IE (can't use AdNauseam, also botnet)
Safari (can't use AdNauseam)
>Setting up AdNauseam
1. Go into browser settings and disable any ad blockers or pop-up blocking (both built-in and extensions).
2. Do not use incognito mode. AdNauseam doesn't work in incognito mode.
3. In AdNauseam settings, turn on "Click Ads". (Optionally turn on "Hide Ads".)
4. In "Click Ads", adjust the slider to 10-50% for better performance and to avoid detection. Tweak this slider until it is unintuitive for you to run or not overly zealous on your bandwidth. Optimal setting will vary depending on your connection speed and your other activities on your IP address.
5. Uncheck "Don't click non-tracking Ads"
6. Check "Disable pre-fetching"
7. Check "Disable hyperlink auditing/beacon"
8. Check "Prevent WebRTC from leaking local IP address"
Now it should be detecting ads and clicking them in the background. Open your Ad Vault to see if it is working.
>Notes on robot detection and avoidance
If Google thinks you are a robot, they will simply ask you to solve Captchas. Simply wait a few minutes or hours for it to reset.
There is nothing to worry about. Google in theory could (does not mean would) identify your Google accounts using a combination of IP address, your browser fingerprint and cookies. Protections are listed below. However there is no evidence that Google have attempted this, and no reason for them to, because it is in their best legal and PR interest to not overreact to a browser ad blocker. (If you degoogled yourself, then you have absolutely nothing to worry.)
IP address: IP can usually be changed if you reset your router. Or use a VPN e.g. ProtonVPN.
Browser fingerprinting: can be defeated by simply using a secondary browser. Test your browser at panopticlick.eff.org for fingerprinting. Experiment until you pass the test. Result should be not unique because unique means bad. For those too lazy to experiment, install a new Firefox/Waterfox, install Random Agent Spoofer, and then use the privacytools.io configs, this will give you good protection against fingerprinting.
Cookies: can simply be disabled or manually deleted from time to time. Or use Cookie AutoDelete (Firefox/Waterfox) or similar extensions.
bump
I slogged through that article, and I have to wonder what's stopping those bogus click programs from generating the mouse positions based off something that's actually used in pseudo-random number generation (i.e., the system clock)? I'm guessing the signature analysis they're talking about would have a hard fucking time coping with it. Just because they work at Google or whatever the fuck doesn't make them or their methods perfect.
