I don't know what to say about it honestly. When they went back down to the fucking underground facility I knew something really god damn silly was about go down.
And then well it just escalated from there. From 0 to 100 real fucking fast.
The staff are definitely having way too much fun with this show.

VR gave them a lot more leeway to be as silly as they'd like. Didn't expect Precure out of the blue but it was appropriately crazy.
I doubt it will get that outlandish again but it was a good opportunity. Is it the staff that made this episode the way it is or was this entire episode even adapted from the manga?

I hear it was all anime original. In fact one of the main scriptwriters for this show and this episode specifically also was a writer in Princess Precure.
Still though, this episode made the show jump real high up in my rankings. Like damn man, it reminded me of the really silly episodes in YrYr and early 2000 stuff from those absurd comedy shows. I don't know how they'll top this one but I can see the finally be really fucking heartwarming.

They made the right choice with that scriptwriter. I can't see the rest topping this episode either (other than maybe the finale) but the previous episodes have all been enjoyable as well.

Well we can probably assume that the last few episodes before the finale is going to be about that twintailed loli in the OP eventually showing up. I guess it all hinges on whether her character is good if the next episodes can top this one.
Regardless, if the final episode is even better than this one then this might just be AotS for me. A bit maybe but still.
