/Delinquent/

It's that time again. Attempting to story time newest scanlated Be-Bop High School chapter while Sup Forums is being all weird and shit. Also general delinquent thread, you know the drill, cry about lack of scans etc.

This chapter really spoke to me.

Also as usual thanks to based Hokuto no Gun for the newest chapter.

...

...

It's been awhile. Thanks for starting a dump. If anyone has questions about Delinquent Scans, I'll answer them while I read this Be-bop chapter

...

I have two actually, firstly what is that from, reverse image search is clearly lying as that is not a picture of 'footwear.'

Also how are you prioritising what you scanlate? There's loads of Bakuon Rettou, which is great, but Imight be the only person who still wants chapters of A-bout! and Bucchigiri scanlated as well.

...

...

Are you the same guy with a bunch of delinquent manga in the 3x3 threads?

...

It's OUT by Mizuta Makoto. It's basically about a delinquent that got out of prison on parole. He can't avoid getting in fights but doesn't want to go back to prison (Has to stop being a delinquent).

I usually prioritize from just what I'm motivated to do at the time. Bakuon Rettou is what I want to finish as soon as I can but the people that offer to edit it for me usually disappear after 2 chapters (Though KKOWAnon has been with me since the start of it). As for A-bout, I got in collaboration with a russian group that does it so they're offering me cleans in exchange for my translations. I'm working on the next one currently. Bucchigiri being slow is entirely my fault as I haven't gotten around to translating it lately.

No. But if I did post in a 3x3 thread it basically would be me.

Rokudenashi Blues
Be-Bop High School
Bakuon Rettou
Crows
Kyou Kara Ore Wa
Worst
Sakigake Otokojuku
Clover
Angel Densetsu

That'd be my 3x3.

Shit that looks pretty cool. His other manga looks like it might be more of the same.

I'm not fussed about the speed stuff comes out, just grateful any of it is being translated. You got any manga you hope you scanlate? I personally hope someone does Bad Boys one day, I think it's the second highest selling yankii manga after RokuBlues.

Fuck me I can't believe I forgot to include Hot Road in this. Daily reminder guys, Hot Road is amazing.

We can all learn how to be a man from Hiroshi.

Hey scan user, it's me the proof reader, sorry for bailing on you, I was bogged down in college work.
God I've missed these threads. Hiroshi in this chapter is fucking great. Also, does anyone know what happened to Saizen? Their website is down? I hope they come back, the OVAs so far have been great.

...

As it currently stands, Hiroshi > Toru.

...

These last two pages are great, there's something almost poetic about them.

Also, has anyone read Kiku?

Not only that, but this is the most realistic page of any Yankii manga I've seen so far. I hope BBH is just 48 volumes of this.

And yes, Kiku is a great manga. Manages to pack so much into just one volume, it's so good.

Yeah, it's probably Hirose's best work, he managed to fit so much character and story into barely any pages. I wish he'd do more like that.

I'm not sure if this fits, but the Emblem Take 2 OVA done recently by HnG was pretty good, featured some yankii and had a bit of a yankii vibe to it, the main character reminded me of Imai.

Oh hey. Don't worry about it. Having to do the proofreading myself only helps me improve so it's not that bad.
At the minute, I have a lot to work on. Once BR and A-Bout is done with I might look for more. That being said, I'm usually down to translate any Delinquent manga as long as someone will edit it.

Would you think about translating OVAs or something? You don't have to do the timing, but I'm sure there's someone who could do encodes if you translate the script?

I think on the whole Crows is his best work (on re-evaluation I have made Crows my third favourite delinquent manga) but Kiku is probably his best written work just for what it managed to do in one volume. I loved this sequence in the last chapter.

...

This page in particular.

Crows is probably his best, but it's been a while since I read that, and Kiku I read last week. I think yankii manga is best suited to short stories, despite a majority being long 30+ volume series, mainly due to having to tie everything up by graduation getting quite difficult.

...

Maybe... Depends on what OVA. I do have experience in timing as I've subbed a few GnT episodes.

Well, there's a fair few yankii oneshot OVAs. There's also the SJG OVAs, which are supposedly crap but I don't know whether that's the subbing or whether that's true or not. Also, has anyone filled the scan gap in the SJG manga yet?

...

...

If nothing else, this one volume of Kiku proved that Hiroshi Takahashi might be a one trick pony, but he is probably better at it than anyone else.

I think he's good, atleast Crows and Worst were good, they just got stale near the end, if he made stuff like the PAD arc into small, short stories, they'd probably be a lot better.

Motherfucker.

>Also, has anyone filled the scan gap in the SJG manga yet?
Nosajj released a chapter about 3 weeks ago but I don't know if it's from the missing parts.

>mainly due to having to tie everything up by graduation getting quite difficult.
I kind of like this in the sense that you know that most of them will only last for 3 years time in the timeframe of the manga. It kind of lets you know when the end is coming.

It does, but I feel like the ending of KKOW was rushed, same for Crows and Worst. Ending delinquent manga is hard to do.

Ono Yuki is fine as Josuke.
We got to hear Hatano's Metal Bat in the OAD this week too.

>PAD arc
I re-read that shit all the time, it was brilliant.

Tbh ending manga is pretty difficult in general, most of the ones I read have pretty bad endings. I thought Crows was more rushed than Worst since it tried to shoehorn in a new generation in the same manga (of which only King Joe was actually worth following) whereas Worst went through all three years of Hanagumi's story and te new guys were eased in slightly more. For example, I don't know who most of these guys are and they were meant to be big names in the second half of Crows.

It's still not the same but it's fine, Hatano was perfect though. Based Takagi as Okuyasu makes up for it.

Yeah I had barely any idea who was who at the end of Crows, It was great until they added in some many new characters.

Few things I've read recently and my thoughts, I'm aware no one cares but whatever.

Shibatora.
Main story is about a youth detective sorting out youth crimes. Supporting character is an ex-delinquent and they appear quite often but aren't the main feature of the manga. What's cool about it is that it looks at some more 'realistic' sides of delinquency, mostly drugs. Gets a bit out of hand nearer to the end but the manga was never meant to be taken to completely realistic so it doesn't matter. It's short as well.

Saru Lock.
I'm surprised that someone made a manga about a locksmith. Gets a bit H-manga at times but it's entertaining, from what I read the story is unlikely to get very deep or anything but whatever. Also deals with drugs and more realistic stuff like that as well.

Both sound interesting enough, are they fully translated?

>tfw vertical didn't cover the gap in the scans
I just want to die ;~;

A-bout!.
It's this generation's Crows (well, it and Clover). It's great, everyone should read it. It's almost like Crows but with KKOW type characters, for a few of them at least. I miss this sort of story sometimes, I like the realness of BR/HR etc. but there are times where I like overpowered MCs fighting and not doing much else, it's an established formula and it works.

Shibatora is, Saru Lock isn't and likely won't ever be...

Maybe the guys who are doing Shonan Seven will do it, they are huge Fujisawa fanboys if nothing else.

Hmm, I remember them telling me they wouldn't do SJG because of it being licensed.

Aren't they still doing GTO: Paradise Lost even though it's licensed by Crunchyroll?

I haven't actually checked, maybe they are just uploading CR scans.

you niggas better get to translating shounan bakusozoku. blu ray encode is already out.

Shakotan Boogie OVA's where?

I really need to speed it up for the A-bout releases.
