it's a bit underwhelming to be honest. it had a lot of potential in the beginning but fell into the typical shoujo tropes a bit too much.

If you ever read the manga, in the beginning he never intended to choose her as a wife, and we don't know if he means what he says.

It's awful. It's one of those manga that embodies everything I hate about manga.

It follows the stereotypical girl fantasy of being taken care of by a mysterious, "dark", powerful man. That's fine.

But the transitions from panel to panel often make little sense. Things are accepted because "manga logic" where you can just suddenly have events happen with no foreshadowing or effort. There are also all kinds of contrived things involving the girl and the perils that she constantly gets "saved" from.

And whenever anything stupid happens, it just "makes sense" to all of the characters. And because she is a clueless boring shoujo protagonist, all she really does is ask him for explanations.

I like the art, nice atmosphere, but the protagonist is bland and there seems to be no plot during the last few characters. I hope the mangaka fixes it, it would be a waste if doesn't.
