Traveling to Bogota, Colombia Sup Forums in December and would like to hear from the natives. Is it relatively safe? I'll be staying around Zona T and plan on clubbing and tearing it up. Is that a good location for a club/bar environment? I hear to avoid taking a cab anywhere...that true?

If you stay in the tourists areas it is very safe.
Don't wear jewlery, get a phone that can be stolen and gt an extra wallet and fill it with junk and $20..
I'm a White Blond Haired American and never had any problems there for 6 months. The main areas where you will want to be around the Zona Rosa are pretty safe.
The main city is ringed off to keep the bad elements out.
the Candalaria can get a bit dicey...
Do yourself a favor.. Goto Medellin and Manizales. You'll think you died and went to heaven.

Hell if you goto Bucarmanga the older women will try and set you up form marriage in the city square, but the Paisas are hotter.. Look up Paisa (it means a women from Antioquia; Manizales, Pereida, Medellin)
