Why do shounen always have such shitty exposition...

Why do shounen always have such shitty exposition? This whole dialogue sequence was the characters just telling each other shit they obviously know,

It's not just the exposition that's shitty.

Because children are reading manga as well.

Anime in general does this. Mangak can't write and the best scriptwriters go int live action film and dramas not anime.

This.

The routine of young japanese is very complicated. That is why the storytelling of the manga is so decompressed compared with western comics. Then, exposition becomes a way to better situate the reader.

But in the case on the pic, this is not necessarily exposition, it's just a way of strengthening the ideals of the character. Dreamers are annoying anyway.

So? American comic books and cartoons rarely have that blatant exposition.

Hi, newfag here.

I want to know, what is Sup Forums's general consensus on Soul Eater? Does Sup Forums consider it good or bad?

Because they don't need it.

Good looking disappointment

What's "Revy" about it?

>The routine of young japanese is very complicated.
What does this even mean?

hmm ok! I'm watching it right now and I find it decently enjoyable to watch, just wondering if I should feel bad for enjoying it

thanks!

Name manga with good exposition.

How about lurk moar before posting faggot.

>just wondering if I should feel bad for enjoying it

You shouldn't give a shit what other people think. Don't be a child.

Lurk the fuck more too.

Not him, but wasn't there a guy that used 2 pistols? that's probably it.

They are always busy.

Oh, I was more expecting something along the lines of a feisty, hot chick. Too bad.

I haven't seen a soul eater thread before this one so its kind of hard to know what Sup Forums thinks about something when its never talked about.

>you shouldn't give a shit what other people think
you should though. only unshowered basement virgins don't care about what others think of them

American comic books are not primarily aimed towards children.

>mfw both the ending to the anime and the manga

>that obviously rushed ending in the anime
Fucking hell what a disappointment.

>expected fashion
got fashion

Funny, if these writers learned proper storytelling and made an effort to "show and not tell", the busy japanese men would go through these manga much faster.
Anyway, asking that of most writers is too much and I just learned to deal with it. Shame that I like shounen, they are the worst offenders.

just get this mangaka a decent writer already jesus christ

Because nips are fucking robots that can't into abstract ideas and concepts, thus need everything broken down bit by bit, that way it's more like math.

you forgot courage punch

...

Missed potential.

Dungeon Meshi is doing a good job of revealing information about the fantasy bits by bits through character interactions.

>absolute shit work "ethics" leave most Japanese without time to themselves
>as a result their cultural production is poor, and stagnant
>anime are commercials
>all mangaka are hacks
>live action series are a joke
>no notable movies released globally
>eclipsed by China

I don't know, they have significant work commenting on the poisonous nature of said society, and how banally soul crushing and shitty it is.

And sure, most mangaka are hacks, but most artists and writers are. There are also truly superlative, world class illustrators and writers.

>society with rigorous expectations and adherence to them
>blaming everything on everyone else before before ever looking in a mirror
>most counter-culture is indulged in for fashion
>trying to develop a legitimate counter-culture to change that society
A Sisyphean task if I ever saw one.

Commentary on the shitty work culture over there is common in manga, that is true.
If anyone here follows japanese tv for whatever reason, how is that shit treated in popular tv? Do they have shit like famous comedians or famous personalities in general commentating on how shitty the work ethic is there? Or does the media just avoid it?

>watch shounenshit
>wonder why it's shit
I don't know what to tell you, OP.

Naruto
Fairy Tail
Attack on Titan
Owari no Seraph
Aka me Ga Kill

Man I loved Akatsuki no Yona but just remembering that "speech" of the King at the start would make me cringe if I were mentally underage enough to do it (Sup Forums)

Hunter x Hunter is the final boss of shonen exposition

Look at this edgy faggot.

And JoJo
