Good thing I watch the dubbed version then.

Really must be annoying for deaf weebs.

>dub strip horrorifics

It's difficult to hear one thing but read another and make them join up in your mind.

You're listening to ching chong and reading english subtitles. Your logic makes no sense.

So how much do you want to kill Funimation's subbers when they replace family names with given names in casual conversation?

This shit is the worst. I can fucking hear what they're saying, Funimation. Stop lying to me.

>ikadakimassu transliterated as "rubber duck duck thanks for the grub!"

>localised honorifics
"san" does not fucking translate to "miss"

what sort of fucking translator does that? how the fuck can that be translated, typesetted and quality checked, without anyone questioning how fucking retarded it looks?

FUCK
THAT
SHIT

watch more anime

>"san" does not fucking translate to "miss"
What. Yes it does, if the person is a single female.

>subs rename a character that is spoken in a clear engrish to something completely different

>Yatto-san as "Yattie"

ffuuuck

>horrorifics

maybe if you have severe brain damage

japanese honorifics do not always have an accurate english analog. when the fuck do you call a female colleague "miss"? miss might be the closest, but it isn't accurate

if you're going to keep honorifics, keep it as san

>he is not paying attention to the audio,so he does not know the honorifics

>EOPs still around here

>rubber duck duck

This one I can kind of understand since Crunchyroll don't want to get sued. Although I don't know how well this would work since it's still being said and can be heard clearly.

Honorifics are a sign of a bad translation.

Same thing with TL notes.

>maybe if you have severe brain damage
Seems like that's the case with you by the way you type.

Horrorifics are only a piece of the nuance.
Don't tell as if it's the Almighty God.

this annoys the shit of me. subs that keep honorificis are the easiest to follow, and should be the norm.

in other words you've lost the argument so you attack the fact i don't capitalise proper nouns. seriously, that's a reddit-tier tactic

i do it for speed, if you give a fuck about proper grammar why the fuck are you on Sup Forums

>Song starts playing
>Dialogue and song lyrics appear on the same line at the same time
>Literally dfkdshgidhgidshgkdshgkdshgkdsng

>imouto says "Onii-chan!"
>subtitles say "Big bro!"

It's too horrifying if they keep it.

An inferior language called English don't have comprex horrorifics like Asian language

>horrorifics

>Ojiisan
>"Geezer"

I wasn't arguing with you in the first place, and it's literally a fucking rule of this site you faggot. The fact that you both do it intentionally and get anally devastated when called out on it makes you a contemptible piece of trash.

>I do it for speed
How the fuck do you lose typing speed by holding down shif-- wait a minute, you're a fucking phone poster aren't you? Kill yourself.

>japanese honorifics do not always have an accurate english analog
It's almost like translating isn't 1:1 and you're allowed to use context to pick a meaning or something.

Both are what you call an old guy. I don't see the problem.

think it's more casual than "mr"

I'm completely ok with that if action isn't set in Japan or/and characters aren't specified to be Nips, eg most sci-fi and fantasy stuff

>tsundere
>hot and cold

Thank god for that, I don't want to be spooked every time I watch anime.

>contradicts my initial post
>not arguing
sure thing. debate, argument, whatever you want to call it, you were doing it

>literally a rule
no, it isn't. funnily enough though, your current asspain DOES break Sup Forums's off-topic rule

inb4 lol i trol u

go and watch akuma no riddle's officialsubs and tell me that the "miss" translation is context-sensitive

i'm not referring to contextual scenarios, those are obviously fine. when "miss" is used as a straight translation, it's bullshit and you know it

>sweet and sour

>subtitles change everything including the characters names to American analogs
>they still go to the temple to pray even though America doesn't have temples

...

>subtitles change everything including the characters names to American analogs
I've never once seen this.

Ace Attorney this season, though that's because the games did it first.

Some of us have standards.

>indecipherable text
how can it be indecipherable if you're replying to my posts? clearly you understand them

>literally blowing yourself the fuck out

>a boy falls in love with a girl

>you're tasked with translating "tsundere," no TL notes allowed
Go.

"bitch"

Sup Forums-pan-tachi, go back to Gaia or TV-N forums. Onegai!

shit-tier girl

Dammit user, you caught me off-guard with that one.

I hate honorifics, but then you get subs that try to play around them and you know the connotations are completely different even though you don't know shit Japanese.

There's no good answer except learning the language, but fuck if I have the competence to do that.

>A temperamental person is someone whose mood often changes very suddenly:

Although I guess "temperamental" is about as awkward as just plain using "tsundere".

Short tempered

Threadly reminder that you should stop posting that because it's a thing.
