I'd be annoyed about it myself. They should strive to keep the characters as original as possible. They are intentionally inserting black characters into white roles for diversity sake but it's just ruining what could be perfectly good movies.

There's their main problem and the producers just don't get it. Niggers and women don't watch anime. They didn't watch the original Ghostbusters and they never heard of Death Note. I'm too old to have watched Teen Titans but I'm guessing it was aimed at the same demographic: nerdy white kids.

Wonder Woman was a honestly good movie.

To be honest, if they had instead created a brand new character rather than using the name of L, it would have been the best part of the movie. L would never show his face in public, he would never give inspirational speeches, he would never be reduced to a crybaby who gets triggered and goes on a tantrum.
However, in the move, lets say his name was X. X being a spoiled manbaby with a childish sense of right and wrong who breaks down when his father figure disappears is believable. The actor did a good job too at what was a shitty script.
However, no, they used L's name, causing an obvious comparison of a stoic character to a chaotic one. Also literally everything else about the movie was shit. The excessive fake as shit gore, the retarded light/mia characters who were not believable nor interesting, nor acted well, the father character, the police, etc.
It should be removed from this planet, but it shouldn't ruin your favorite character. That wasn't even L.

As someone who never watched any of it, wasn't L some kind of Fed? That was the worst of it. If he was just a Mr. Robot tier autist trying to bring down the guy with the note over his sense of justice it would be fine, but that candy-eating literal autistic weirdo isn't a fed.

This, he was unironically the best part of that movie. Not a difficult feat, but he certainly beats the rest of the cast by a mile when it comes to delivery. His character itself wasn't bad either. It certainly wasn't L, but the actor managed to take this god-awful script and inject actual emotion into it.

But seriously, did anyone really think that the worst part about a low-budget Netflix live-action anime adaptation would be that they changed one character's race. That was the least of this movie's problems. I'll say this though. If you have some friends, some booze, and a working knowledge of how the Death Note anime went, this movie is a laugh riot. I would definitely recommend it as a "So bad it's good" movie.

Indifference is poison to a marketing committee, so if for some reason they can't drum up interest in another uninspired cash grab that no one asked for, they'll go for outrage and controversy instead. Race baiting is especially effective because places like Sup Forums can't resist raging at it, and places like reddit can't resist defending the movie from places like Sup Forums. Moreover, it makes the social justice crowd feel obligated to "support it", in some cases monetarily but the SJW dollar doesn't go that far. Still, normal people feel compelled to see it just to find out what everyone is so angry about.

It's gone as far as companies like EA actually hiring fake outraged Christian protestors to protest the release of their shitty God of War rip-off Dante's Inferno. Just so they can drum up interest.

The best thing to do to a product that is deliberately trying to arouse your ire is to ignore it. Think of it like a child bashing it's head for attention. You don't reward that behavior with attention, you just let the kid knock himself out.
