Kiritsugu/Kotomine was so fucking underwhelming and badly made. The animators were clearly at their limits after two cours, but they didn't even bother to fix it for the bds.

Ufotable already butchered UBW final fight have fun having a no monologue in the Kirei vs Shirou fight while the battle is to the strong OST is playing.

The one in F/SN UBW was so underwhelmingly generic, but in F/Z it was literally fucking nothing. It's hard to choose.

Both are meh desu, I just really hope they don't mess up Heavens Feel final fight

...

Why cant we have this instead lads ?

Even in the VN, Shirou's fight with Archer was more the crowning fight of UBW than Shirou's fight with Gil was.

UBW probably has my two favourite fights of the series in it i.e. Shirou v Archer and Archer v Lancer

I would have leaned toward F/Z until Shirou surfed Raw Ass down through a storm of blades. That was pretty fucking cool.

DEEN Shirou vs Gilgamesh is the most hyped fate Fight in any Fatead adaptations.

>Shirou shouting ''UNLIMITED BLADEWORKSUUUUUUU'' in Engrish

>onore onore onore onore onore onore spam by Gil

>Shirou and gil shouting passionately on every word they say

>melee sword spam>>>> Range sword spam

>This Ost

I know they butchered the fight in terms of rules and compared to the VN but to me they made it more exciting

I didn't really like any Fate fights. Actually Fate Kaleid Liner was decent but if we're just talking about the main series none were really to my liking.

I respect your opinion but I must say that Emiya theme in background for the final battle was 1000 better that ost of UBW Deen.

Spoken like a true secondary.

>Shirou and Kieri have a 15 minute dialogue about their respective faults and motivations, the nature of evil
>Come to understand one another, Shirou even admits he likes Kieri
>That fucking ominous reprisal of Church on the Hill
>The actual physical fight itself is a few second long fist fight between two crippled, dying men.
>Nobody even "wins", Kieri just runs out of time first.
>The scene is infinitely more about the dialogue, the real battle a battle of beliefs and convictions than actual physical violence
>ufotable will completely miss the point, cut out 95% of the dialogue, and have a 10 minute fightscene with speed lines, particle effects, 3D, an "epic" fight OST, MORE 3D, etc.

It hurts because I know it's true.

We're talking about the anime adaptations.

Exposition heavy VN fights will never lend themselves to anime adaption easily, user. It isnt really UFOtables fault in that regard

The batcave fight was really weak. Animation was bad, Kerry and Kirei have little connection;it's just there because FSN told us they fought once, and it was cutting between 2 other unrelated fights.

If they can manage to fit way more dialogue than was necessary for the Archer fight then surely they can manage to have enough dialogue for the Kirei fight

>Monologuing during a fight

I'm OK with Fate anime not being Dragon Ball Z.

Fuck it hurts so much because I can legit see this happening for real.

They are going to turn it into a Hajime no Ippo fight

The director of HF is a Sakurafag, an HFfag, and a Fatefag in general, he won't fuck up, I have hope, he can do it.

>Sakurafag

So he has shit taste. Great. HF is going to bomb. The only way to salvage that route in anime format is to give a lot of focus to Ilya.

He is only confirmed for the first movie no one knows if he is going to do the 2nd and 3d movie like KNK they have different director per movie

the dude was also the director of Kara no Kyoukai: mirai fukuin

take that movie like reference

Mirai Fukuin was great, KnK is not about the figths or so.

Also he worked in paradox spiral helping with the direction.

Wasn't shit on fire for the Kirei vs. Kerry fight?

You motherfuckers serious? Did you see how much dialogue they stuffed into Shirou vs Archer, to the point of repeating a lot of it throughout the 3 episodes? I get not wanting to have super high expectations, but that doesn't mean you need to be such pessimistic fucks, have a little faith on the studio that has yet to fail Type-Moon.

>has yet to fail Type-Moon.

Kek are you implying UBW is a great adaptation ?

...

>Kek
>space before question mark
And your opinion is worthless.

Both were butchered badly from the source material.
UBW wins because of the OST alone.

>magic flying swords and EMIYA for the fiftieth time is better than batcave-yuki kajiura

ufo's gil v shirou is better than deen's, but deen's shirou v archer is MILES ahead of ufo's

Dont you have a terrible lesbian spin off to read, Ilyafriend?

Ryougi vs Araya or Ryougi vs Shirazumi

Shiki vs Araya.

Would Archer really want that?

I think he only wants to kill himself.

Cute girl.

The OST was fucking garbage. Absolutely forgettable.

There's a good reason why Fukusawa wasn't brought back for Heaven's Feel and why they they realized that Yuki Kajiura shouldn't have been replaced in the first place.

this. just imagine what we'd be dealing with if jc staff got ubw

Fate/zero a Best

Gil vs Shirou was much better by a very large margin. I'd even argue it's the best Fate fight Ufotable's done.

>Gil fighting with a shitty sword in close range without armor
How can a fight be this dumb

Why do people hate the UBW adaption so much?

The final fight in HF is Gem Sword Zelretch though

The OP even starts playing, you can't deny it

Japanese and Western fans don't like how the adaptation skimmed over a lot of Shirou's inner monologues. Western fans typically don't like the pacing (UBW is 2/3 the length of F/Z, but both anime are the same length with UBW barely having more filler), how Caster's character was handled (skipping over how her myth really ties into her character and most people didn't like the arc about her master since it was unnecessary and didn't add much compared to what was cut), and the animation in the 2nd half was generally much worse than the first half since Ufotable kept fucking up their scheduling. Japanese and western fans also really didn't like how episodes 18 and 21 were handled.

Episodes 24 and 25 of UBW are pretty much the only reason people will say UBW was a competent adaptation. It's nothing like either DEEN anime, but it isn't like F/Z which greatly improved as a story by moving to a visual medium and reducing the amount of butcher edge it originally had.

I liked it but some people had issues with how some of the information was conveyed. It's though that the adaptation doesn't explain everything the VN does in that route. At no point for example do they explain that the swords are fighting for Shirou and that is part of how his projections work.

>implying ufotable didn't do it.

What was cut exactly about Caster? They don't really talk about her past in the UBW route apart from what Souichirou says.

it's bisexual because Shirou is there.

Ignoring the point of the story in order to look cool.

They just go into more detail about her myth that makes her come across as a more sympathetic character. It's what the dialogue in her original scene about her master really talked about before getting to Souichirou finding her.

One scene, like two text boxes long, detailing why Caster is such a vengeful scorned woman and how she was suckered by the pantheon

That guy is full of shit though, most people liked the Ilya content and Lancer's escapades as much as the Gil fight and Zero ruined loads of stuff from the novels

That theme was random as fuck compared to
youtube.com/watch?v=Zfx8-c63u0Q

Kiritsugu vs Kotomine because Fate/Zero is the only good thing to come out of this series.

I thought Sup Forums really liked the ubw final ep?

Why do people hate 3D so much like it's a cancer or something?

Because it never looks good and it's usually lazy. I'm not as pessimistic as that user though.

Its dumb but he is right its much more hyped and gil was really going ape shit

Shirou was the same faggot from the VN this meme that Ufotable butchered Shirou is the dumbest shit I have seen from Fate fags

Mighty Wind during Rider/Shirou vs Alter or riot.

I never thought Lancerlot CG was bad though. In fact it's better than 2D.

How bad would Ufotable butcher this scene ?

I didn't like this verson. It was forced to go along with the scene while kenji kawaii verson flow naturally just like the original soundtrack.

Aren't the openings made by Ufo?

> they suddenly broke out the VN OSTs in the next to last episode

It was almost like Ufotable UBW adapation didn't have any music until then.

Yes, but the directing in the movie will be different anyway. Openings are meant to get your attemtion.

Yeah

what I meant is monologue wise since this scene is all about the monologue. How are they going to adapt this scene in anime for without looking retarded ?

I think Kotomine v Kiritsugu was more disappointing than the disappointment of Gil v Shirou, so um, they both lose?

Because of Araya's magic I'd say that his fight was more visually varied while maintaining an equal level of choreography to Shirazumi's fight and is therefore "better," but I absolutely love the way Shirazumi's movement was animated. Crazy animalistic agility like that is one of my favorite things to see. And of course that all assumes that emotional significance is removed for a comparison of visual content rather than overall composition, because then the importance of the battle against Shirazumi is on another level entirely.

Well, it probably won't surpass that tease for it from that OP, and there is no way it will live up to the version that we've dreamed up for ourselves.

It's simple, cut the monologue and replace it with great visuals.

They'll just use a flashback thing like they did with the Archer fight. The most important visual bit is Shirou surpassing the wind with Archer in front of him.

sakuga.yshi.org/data/dd0e72473936a13ff348e8353a309533.webm

Honestly, this is the best-animated scene in all Type-Moon anime. Two-and-a-half minutes of great character animation by Tetsuya Takeuchi with a brawl at the end to top it off.

I agree.
I think it actually helped set him apart from the other Servants in Fate/Zero. It really made him seem otherworldly. It really served a purpose.

Nine Lives scene looks amazing on the OP but look at how UBW turned out it looks amazing in the Vita OP but the adaptation looks nowhere near the same quality its like they put all the money and effort in the OP.

Dont get your hopes up user
