I'm not so sure about medicine coz all the top schools are slanted towards men. But regardless, another thing to consider is the fact that almost 40% of med school are Asians. So a lot of those females are probably Asian or Indian. Very different from what a white female would apply for.
As for law schools, what's the point? Unless you are at the top schools, it's just as useless as a gender studies degree. Many females at third tier schools. It's what people who cannot find jobs do. Who wants to fund that?
