Well Gray Lord appears to be the mutated Gray Demon mentioned in one of those NNT extras, so to an extent he's of the lesser demons too. It's just how much stronger that mutation makes him.

Because they aren't. They are 'just' demons that were granted one of the TC. Glox wasn't a demon when he joined them. They made him one and gave him a TC.
