Hey Sup Forums look why I got in the mail today.
Hey Sup Forums look why I got in the mail today
I hope you are going to cum on it.
I want to but no.
This is the first time I have ever buy a manga in my life that how good watamote is.
people need stop lying about watamote call it bad because group of jackass reviews don't know what there talking about.
Tomoko Kuroki falls in love with a boy.
Unable to confess, she is gifted by a deus ex machina with the boy's phone number. That's how she met him. Never minding the strange area code, she immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on her as well.
But, the next day, when Spaghetti girl talks to him for a date, he stands her up. When she
calls him, he tells her that she was the one who stood him up. After some investigation, they find out out that the boy doesn't exist in her universe at all and vice-versa. He is Tomoko's own alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with his own AU self, which is her.
Hijinks ensure as they strike up a deal to give themselves their own darkest, most private secrets in order to equip themselves with the weapons they need to conquer each other's hearts. While they chase one another, DRAMA ensues as they question the NATURE of SPAGHETTI.
...
I don't get why people keep saying Tomoko a bad person she not.
Normies don't understand her insulting, judgemental, pervy thoughts and actions towards other are all in jest.
Is that shit in English ?
>Hey Sup Forums look why I got in the mail today.
There are these things called Book Stores. You should find one and not have to wait.
>Is that shit in English ?
Yen Press is publishing Watamote in English. They didn't get the title quite right, but eh.
Oh thanks for the answer.
Tough I prefer my manga in Japanese
YP published that book literally years ago.
Nice entry level buyfagging newfag
It can be worse than the official OPM translation, they cut all of the beautiful chapter long movement pages out of the release, like fuck I want to pay for half a manga.
Yes
nico tanigawa said thank you only in English watamote manga.
nico tanigawa here. Nice to meet you.
Thank you muhly for picking up englsh editon of watamote (abbr).
It't all thaks to the people who read our work on gangan online and cheered us on enen before the book were in print that this translated version was possible.
We're really, truly grateful fot all the support we've received.
The many comments and dick pics we got following the publication of volume 1 in Japan live on in out heart s to this very day!
We'd be thrilled if you'd continue to support this manga from here on out.
Well, let't meet again in volume 2!
That why you get both.
Physical manga's kind of neat but it's pretty inconvenient. I can fit my whole library on a tablet smaller than a manga volume. (Or read it on my PC, of course.) I'm not sure the niceties of the physical volumes outweighs that. And of course if you can't handle runes most or even all of your manga is gonna be digital already.
>Normies
What gonna do if internet gonna down?
I download my manga so I'd be fine for quite some time. Now if the Internet became unavailable for years I'd eventually run into trouble, but I'd also probably have bigger problems than manga at that point.
If you're talking about the flipbook stuff, that was removed in the Japanese volume releases.
Holy shit you're such a fucking scrubnaught I bet you don't even know the japanese speaking scruuuuuubb.
I still can't believe people here sent dick pics to the mangaka.
So since this is a manga purchase thread what did you lot pick up recently? I got the following: Astro Boy omnibus volume 1, Nichijou volume 2, Servant x Service omnibus 1, Gits volumes 1 and 2.
I need to get more Ajin along with the final Planetes omnibus.
I bet you can't even read it
I might do that myself to say thank you.
For them as well? What a shame.
clean your nails god damn
>Astro Boy omnibus volume 1
I just bought this too. Wanted to get into it after finishing Pluto.
Thinking of picking up a bunch of that yuri manga Seven Seas has been licensing. Also getting the latest Yotsuba volume, the Oyasumi Punpun releases as well as Girl on the Shore, Nurse Hitomi, a lot, actually. Spent like $900 on manga. Sometimes I feel like I should just pirate it and save the money.
They wouldn't work in a printed volume anyway.
I was actually going to buy Pluto alongside Astro Boy since I heard Pluto basically is more of a detective version or something like that. I wish they'd release Black Jack in an omnibus format, I wonder what Vertical are planning to do with the rights to that?
Also anything buyfags are looking forward too? There seems to be some great stuff getting localized lately. I'm very happy Jiro Taniguchi's A Distant Neighbourhood is getting reprinted in what looks like a very nice hardcover release, why does his material seem to go out of print so quickly?
user learn to take advantage of sales online. I've found tons of manga cheap at Hastings
It nice to have to both in Japanese and English.
That is with sales.
Maybe I really should just stop buying until I can handle the whole self-control and moderation bit.
And spend the money on figs instead.
Buyfaggotry is a curse.
>$900 on manga
If it's over the years then completely understandable, I usually always buy my manga used on the Amazon Marketplace, only downside is paying those God awful delivery charges.
Saved me a lot especially on Yoshihiro Tatsumi's manga instead of paying around £12 for some of his volumes I managed to get Push Man and Abandon the Old in Tokyo for both £4 each.
It nothing wrong with support sometimes you love.
>over the years
All in one purchase, actually. My largest ever, so at least I'm not yet making purchases like that every month, but spending nearly a grand on manga does make me stop and think about what I'm doing.
>used
What sort of condition do you generally get? I might consider trying to save money by not buying new copies, but not if it means dirty or dogeared volumes.
Yes, but there is a problem when your money is finite.
>>All in one purchase, actually.
JFC
I stop myself from buying for a while anytime I buy an expensive bluray box
see: aniplex
I pay $13.00 new + 2 day shipping.
They've basically turned up looking pretty much brand new, no scratches, bumps, yellowed pages just generally really nice and surprising condition. I always go for "Very Good" if I'm buying on the marketplace for used manga. I just wish they had pictures to see what kind of quality they are in but I've been pretty happy with everything I've bought so far from there.
Do you lot usually wait until you have a full series to read or are you comfortable with reading one volume before you buy the next?
how much money does nico tanigawa get from this?
Sounds nice. Considering the amount I buy I'd probably save a lot. Figure I'll give it a test run when/if I buy another few volumes and stick with it if it works out as well as you say.
I'll get the whole series if I'm getting around to it late, but otherwise I'm not gonna wait years for a series to come out to start buying it and just get the volumes as they come out.
For more of an example I bought the first Franken Fran omnibus a month after release considering it was cheaper by a couple pounds on the market place, so instead of it being £14 or I got mine for £7 including post and packaging and it arrived in brand new condition.
>mall
>going outside
>being illiterate
It better not be $1.00 I will be really piss.
>buying localized manga
Might as well send all the loose change you got lying around to nico.
Got melons.
>using tumblr gifs
Might as well enjoy your first day on Sup Forums
I might send nico tanigawa $ 100.
Fuck you, I've been here all summer.
at least I support someone I love.
I got the first volume of GitS, 2 volumes of Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria and I'm waiting for my fourth CCS omnibus.
Probably about that, yeah. MSRP of most retail item are marked up 50% from what the publisher charges distributors (generally profit level brick and mortar stores need to survive), so if was a $12, Yen Press gets back $6. They need to pay for a) printing costs, b) translation costs, and c) their own profit margin. After this, they send the remaining money to the Japanese publisher. That publisher also takes a cut of profits. By the end, it's probably reasonable to assume that somewhere around a 1$ (and quite probably less, depending on the various contracts at play) from each volume sold at $12 makes its way back to the author.
However, remember, that $1(or less) per volume is how the author makes their living. So if a series sells 2000 copies of each volume, for 3 volumes per year, the money that comes back from that is what lets the author continue to live as a manga artist.
And it's still infinitely more than they'd see if those people weren't buying the English or Japanese releases, of course. It's not as much as they'd see if they bought the Japanese releases instead (or even better, both), but you can only expect so much from your average western manga fan.
They talk about this in I am a hero I don't know if nico tanigawa show in manga.
Yes, definitely. It's a tiny amount per volume, but it adds up over pure quantity to an amount they can actually live on.
You know nico tanigawa might be look at this thread right now.
why is tomoki an asshole to Tomoko she just trying to be nice.
Tomoki really piss me off he so much like my brother it not funny.
what kind of cuck buys this shit XD
So what I'm getting volume 2 and 3 in 2 weeks.

>getting to call someone a cuck

Watamote volume art is great.
I know.
Why would any call Tomoko ugly she really cute.

Tell me if it's good. It's pretty high on my "to buy" manga list.
Buy the japanese volumes, stick with W3 translations.
Yenpress is too formal.
Yes it really good.
Tomoko really cute.
Yen press should pay guys at world 3 to translate.
I hope anime Come back next year.
More people need checkout both the anime first and manga.
watamote manga now look just like anime now.
It's localized shit, who cares.
