Is the anime a good introduction to this series?
Is the anime a good introduction to this series?
The anime is fairly rushed and lacks a lot of the character building that is seen in the VN.
I'd recommend playing the VN first.
It's garbage like all video game adaptations.
It gets the main story across and is quicker to go through than the game, so you could watch the anime. However I recommend you play the game, both DR1 & SDR2 are on stream now and they take 20-30 hours each to complete.
Playing the game is a good introduction to the series. It's not that long. Has two endings and one of them is a joke and easy to avoid if you are paying attention.
>mfw got the bad ending on DR1
Don't throw the Mary Sue under the bus because the rest of the cast is too stupid to get anything done without her and will regress into having group orgies for the rest of their lives.
How?
No. It's the worst introduction to the series. Play the games.
>she was not so pure after all
By being retarded and making the wrong choice.
>Fukawa is dead.
How is that a bad ending again?
Another Episode
>avoiding it
Why would you do that? You're supposed to watch it through then pick the other option.
But that's what I did.
I just didn't realise it was the bad choice in the first place.
Sore wa chigau yo!
The Danganronpa threads here before the anime aired were the best. I wish I could have gone through DR2 with you guys too.
Looking back critically, they were a little cancerous, especially by today's standards.
>by today's standards
I wonder how the DR3 threads will go next season considering we're sailing into uncharted waters this time.
DR3 anime will be original, right?
Yes.
Two separate original stories, one focusing on the school days of the SDR2 cast and the other focusing on Future Foundation murders.
Smile protection status: not
Yes and both are gonna be good.
>their smiles and optimism
[] Not Gone
[] Gone
[X] Will be gone soon.
Just play the first game, Trigger Happy Havoc. It's great
I forget, were the DR2 cast seniors and the DR1 class sophomores when the despair shit started?
I miss these edits
Gokigenyou~
Both are being handled by the team behind Danganronpa's anime.
But the story is made for an anime format this time.
Anime didn't have exactly top notch production value.
I'll be completely honest, I don't care too much about that as long as the plot and characterization is solid
I didn't watch it but if it follows the story and is not bad looking i'm ok with it.
Your hope in all of this despair is beautiful, user! I hope you'll love every second of anime and prove me wrong!
>9999
ALWAYS BET ON HOPE
Damn, nice quads Komaeda
Reminder that there's a new manga too.
I got the bad ending because I trusted Kyoko to have some kind of plan. She's always going on about finding the truth no matter what or whatever, so I assumed the "obvious" choice of covering for her was a trick. Even if there was no plan it'd probably set off a chain of events that would lead to the right conclusion.
NOPE
I'M JUST WRONG
WELL FUCK ME THEN
Not sure how to feel about the artstyle to be honest
Yeah and they find Makoto's corpse in the third chapter.
>implying
Not a straight adaptation.
It's telling that the only shows based on video games that are half decent are ones that take place in the same setting, but don't adapt the original plot.
Gungrave was good... in the parts where it didn't try to adapt the game.
Good God, no.
Play the game. The anime was trash.
...
>posts Nagito
>gets quads
spooky
>Both
What do you mean? Are there two anime?
Yes. There are two DR anime in the summer.
Cool.
I always see the green haired girl with a dick. Does she have a dick in the show as well?
Yes.
...
In addition to those I'd recommend reading DR Zero considering it elaborates on some of the backstory and sets up some of the plotlines of DR2.
Too bad that we aren't gonna to see best girl animated
That's not a girl, that's a highly trained gaming bot.
I wonder, where's Killer Killer in that timeline?
They have Ultimate Despair Pyrotechnician still wrecking things, also judging by the narrative SDR2 cast is still active.
Even after all these years, I want to fuck Junko so badly.
Don't we all? But unless you don't mind it ending up with her fucking you and giving you a brutal death then by all means go ahead. I'll pass.
>Even after all these years, I want to fuck Mikan so badly.
Fixed
Is this a meme? She's right there in the future arc. Probably going to get killed again, but she's clearly there. No amount of hiding the voice actress is going to help keep that a secret.
>and they take 20-30 hours each to complete.
D-did I do something wrong?
Nah, Miaya is probably just a prototype.
Does Ultra Despair Girls reveal anything important? It doesn't seem like a good game and I'm not fond of the kids.
