Wiz has fully developed Explosion and we saw what is the limit for someone with more mana than Megumin.
I believe that even with Wiz technique and Aqua mana, there is a limit to explosion.

Megumin already has a shit ton of mana to begin with (At least for beginner standards). It's just she is using such a power attack it drains her instantly.

If she levels up her mana she could be really powerful.

It is more rate for someone to have enough mana to use explosion.

Megumin is a freak, even among her super powered kind. The only reasonable characters who can use explosion are high level demons and monsters.

She is unlikely to ever reach Wiz level

Wiz is thousands of years old and she not too far above Megumin. If Megumin had like ten or twenty years of training she could outclass her.

What I am trying to say is at Megumin's development rate she has the potential to outclass her.

Since Megumin is not a demon, undead or monster and suffers a mortal life span, the potential for surpassing Wiz seems unlikely.

Most thirteen year old humans can't create a atomic-bomb level explosion either. She has the potential to do it.

Wiz did not focus ONLY on putting points in Explosion.

Megumin on the other hand does not bother with recovery times, post explosion mobility and other unimportant shit.

I think she was going to get arrested anyway. In vol 9 I don't care what happens as long as it's not interrupted and she goes to jail again.

Yeah, her personal life suffered. In a large scale battle though, it's probably the most efficient use of her skill points to let someone else handle the logistics of getting her into battle and choosing a target.
