In the mistaken model that majority of people have they imagine the future to contain humans exactly like themselves in nature. Even now we see massive changes in human behavior and patterns due to our current primitive technology.
Transhumanism is an inevitable occurrence of advancing technology not changed by belief or faith. That occurrence is that we humans will become extinct or pointless pets on the level of dogs today.
Genetic Selection/Engineering of Humans is years away from creating new generations of enhanced humans. Artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly although with limited applications instead of general (as predicted).
Humanity will end and something new will arise. The mythology of human space crews in big space ships is so profoundly idiotic it is a complete joke to anyone intelligent. The mythology of equality is already shattered by genetic testing being able to predict a baby's adult height and IQ.

I'm vague on the singularity. I meant that having automated driving, cheap delivery, smart devices, etc will feel better than having to deal with only human intelligence. There are rewards for advancing technology.
