My and my wife's dream is to innawoods. Pls no nuclear fire I'm not ready yet.
This is where I will reside, not like a wood cuck larper. I'd rather fight and lead a bandit clan and die in the mayhem or rule an empire
I'm not planning to go completely innawoods, but I do plan to move the countryside (probably eastern Europe, land is really cheap and no browns) and become as self-sufficient as possible.
Those with enough foresight to retreat from the cities will be the ones to rebuild them.
I have no interest in rebuilding, my legion will have enough infrastructure in a emptied city to cover our needs and growth potensial. There are also supplies for decades and if shit gets rough after some years the lads will roam around maybe hunt lone wood larpers for fun. I have no interest in staying safe autisticly for years, and have some vague rebuild dream when you will die alone somewhere in the cold or starvation like an alaskan redneck, for what? Muh survive
I've been thinking a lot about buying some land and building a cabin, or at least renting a cabin in a remote location.
Although I would prefer some electricity for things like lights and a refrigerator, I could probably do without it and just use candles and whatnot.
I could do without running water as long as a clean water source was nearby. Need clean water for drinking, cooking and bathing.
Internet? Fuck, if I actually moved that far out, I'd probably forget about the internet entirely. I've got enough books to read and I could use my laptop to watch movies I've collected if I have electricity.
I really need to think more about this.
>the virgin prepper
>the chad warband
>live innawoods
>nearest town is 8 miles away
>pop. 582
>no niggers within 40 miles any direction, as the crow flies
>nearest “city” is an hour and a half drive in good weather
>pop. 60,000
>have a spring with a well for backup
>not on the electrical grid
Pretty comfy already.
This is exactly how I want to live. Nothing flashy. Just a small, cozy cabin without an address. I have a trust fund and I've inherited money, too, so I have a pretty hefty budget. Where would be a good place to start?
>TECHNOLOGICAL SLAVERY
explain
is it illegal to live in the woods? arent there park rangers to stop you?
That's the dream, user.
Not if you buy land.
Where to start? That depends on whether you want to buy land and build a cabin, or simply rent or buy an existing cabin. I have no idea what's available in Sweden, but considering Sweden's current and likely future state of leftist dystopia, I'd get out of there if I were you.
I want to buy land and build a cabin, but I know nothing about carpentry. What you read/see about Sweden is literally all about southern Sweden. Although we have ooga boogas up north, they haven't created their own little countries here. Oh, and we have PLENTY of available land.
Already there.
>48 acres in wtoming
>nearest neighbor is three miles
>nearest town is 32 miles
>aquifer well (solar powered)
>ground force heated house
>enough wood to last three years
>work from home, high speed secure net
>solar perimeter security
>wife walks around nude 24/7
when your travel tie depends on the weather
you get a lot of forest for your money in Eastern Europe
>I know nothing about carpentry
Join the club. I'm going to have to learn, and I'm going to have to dedicate a lot of time and effort to it. You will have to as well.
Luckily my brother spent some years working remodeling houses, so he knows a bit about carpentry, roofing and plumbing and so on. He's interested in going innawoods, too.
can u DM me coords so i can come when the apocalypse happens pls?
will work for food
>I know nothing about carpentry
The interweb isn't just for shitposting and porn, ya know.
>when your travel tie depends on the weather
Average annual snowfall here is 35'; keeps the niggers and faggots away, but can make travel a bit difficult at times.
>Not building with mud and rocks
You are just calling for a hurricane to destroy your shed.
u got a pretty mouth?
>Average annual snowfall here is 35'
Did you mean 35 inches, or do you really mean 35 FEET?
Where I live we get 59 inches of snowfall on average annually. Very few niggers. The taco niggers actually outnumber them.
>Did you mean 35 inches
kek
Look at my pic again; that was taken just after Thanksgiving.
>The interweb isn't just for shitposting and porn, ya know.
I'm thinking about taking some sort of course for carpentry, if there even is such a thing. I want to learn from practice, not just watching other people doing it.
Also, that place is top tier comfy.
Christ, where are you? Alaska?
Ireland is innawoods of the world. Still planning to convert a couple shipping containers into a bunker and live somewhere like The Wicklow mts.
whats your job
>I'm thinking about taking some sort of course for carpentry
Do you have a fucking vagina, or what?
Go buy a few common hand tools, get some scrap wood, and build something simple.
Then go to Fine Woodworking or Popular Mechanics and look at some of the projects, pick a small one and build that.
Then do a bigger one.
You'll spend about as much as taking a shitty class, learn a lot from your mistakes, and end up with a bunch of tools you now know how to use as well.
Western continental Rockies, at about 9600'.
this "Advice" is coming from someone who doesn't know any carpentry and is telling you what they think is right from a teenage perspective
doing good carpentry isnt looking up how to change your car lightbulb. some website isnt going to teach you like a tutor can. theres a reason that carpenters generally apprentice
>theres a reason that carpenters generally apprentice
Right now, user doesn't even know enough to sweep the floors, let alone be an apprentice.
Sure, "taking a class" is great if what you're really looking for is to spend some extra money socializing and getting a cute certificate to hang on your wall.
What I'm telling him is to dip his toe in the lake before he decides to buy a boat.
this seems like it would be a pain in the ass to deal with
US Coastlines are filled with targets during wars, so don't live on them. CST/MST locations are better to set up strategic assets.(Bunkers are good investments, I have several).
Islands are great places along with low population density locations with little to no critical/possible targets in a warfare scenario.
Whatever u do.. dont do it alone. Best to have at least an Edna in the bush.
god bless you user, i'm jelly.
>plan to go innawoods with riffu and avoid humanity
>treat everyone like a threat
>realize that's already my life
post pics of your slut wife
that looks like the epitome of comfy. perfect.
That's my neighbor's property. He runs a guide service in the fall and has a half dozen cabins where people from out of state stay while they're hunting. I hooked his cabins, home, and workshop up with internet service, and he trades me extra skins/pelts, meat, and use of his construction equipment that it would be ridiculous for me to buy when I need it.
His property is closer to the county road, so he has grid electric service.
I only have two direct neighbors, and all of our land backs up against National Forrest.
