What am I looking at here exactly?
Oh god... that is what I think it is?
Why she sit like that ?
false hopes and broken dreams
Some old official art? I can't find this anywhere online
Why does Asahina have a Hibike face?
That's part of a new magazine it seems, this picture is also there.
But more importante, that's fucking Kyoani.
It's from a magazine that will be release a few days later
Well shit. They keep teasing don't they? Time to brace for more disappointments
As Kyoani are making Hibike now
>Idol Project
New character songs to go with the OST release, probably. Don't get your hopes up.
I call the feisty kitty.
How can that happen if Yuko is still recovering and Aya is in New York?
It doesn't have to happen immediately. Maybe they'll release it next year or something.
> Character songs
That only works when you want to promote something, if not, it doesn't sell shit. Could be anything a this point.
That wouldn't make too much sense though given that this year is the anime's 10th anniversary. The best time to release anything to commemorate that is 2016.
Characters rarely sell well anyway.
*character songs rarely sell well anyway
If they announce something it'll probably be for late 2016 or 2017. Plenty of time for Aya to return to nipland.
Except when it's idolshit. And it sell good just because there is a whole multimedia project behind supporting them.
Calling it now. A new OVA remix of Endless eight
>tfw we're gonna get some idolshit rather than Haruhi S3
i need to try haruhi's asshole
pachinko
An OVA seems highly probable, maybe to test the waters. Anyways, just seeing a new Haruhi work done by Kyoani is good, at least would be proof that Kyoani is still willing to do something Haruhi related.
It is the tightest
It's finally here, I can smell it!
Kyon looks like a total fuccboi, I like it.
Adapted by Satelight
NO
Haruhi-san will air on winter 2017.
Whatever it is doesn't look like Sateshit. It just screams Kyoani.
That's a Kurumi face, actually
Where the fuck did you get this?
...
>snow mountain syndrome
I can see that happening.
Pachinko machine with the SOS dan dancing in the background like idols. Screencap this.
Hey!
Idolshit usually need a soccer team worth of cookie cutter character archetypes to work. This increases the chances of waifu wars and yuri shipping faggotry, not to mention way more merch for each character. There's only 3 main girls and that's not enough to make it an idol series.
Haruhi
Mikuru
Yuki
Tsuruya
Mori
Kyon's imouto
Sasaki
Kuyou
Tachibana
Asakura
Kimidori
Barely enough and that's with supporting characters.
>Kuyou as an idoru
Now I want to see it.
>Idol project
This is going to be a mobage isn't it
it's not Kyoani
Says who?
>it can't be Satelight because no Yuki designs
that's not how it works you little shit
Its been too long OP, I dont even care anymore...
this and raildex.
It hurts too much...
Yuki looks like Reina. It has the same autistic stare.
>It
Fuck you too.
Shouko designed both Haruhi and Hibikek.
That looks like modern KyoAni. What do you mean?
semi-related question
does kyon in yuki-chan no shoushitsu universe keeps his memories of events in main series ?
just thinking whether i should watch it or not, answer to this question would help me decide.
sage for offtopic and shit
You know they have a confirmed illustration just last month for the songs rerelease right?
No.
Of course he doesn't. But you still can watch it.
...
if it's Kyoani then you can assume it's not a series, they are way to busy with other stuff in their schedule to squeeze in anything else for at least two years, I forget if the video frames scattered all around Japan was them or not but to give you an idea the was basically the most they go do on a busy schedule
>they are way to busy with other stuff in their schedule to squeeze in anything else for at least two years
Where are you getting that from?
They have projects only as far as Violet Evergarden which is somewhere next year supposedly. They can start a Haruhi media blitz now and go with animation next year. I mean Takemoto doesn't have anything to do since 24 dec 2015.
also koe no katachi movie
>This increases the chances of waifu wars and yuri shipping faggotry
That started with Love Live and not Idolmaster, user. It's why there's a term called Idolshit, and it didn't exist during Idolmaster's unrivaled run until 2010.
>At least two years.
Calm down dude, Hibike S2 premieres in October (means Kyoani is practically finishing the series now), KnK's movie is for September and its production should be ending also, leaving just VEG as the only project they're working right now. And Kyoani usually has at least two works in production at the same time (even three sometimes), so it could perfectly be Haruhi the other one along with VEG. Also, nobody knows what is Takemoto doing now, and he directed Haruhi's movie.
Idolmaster had like a hundred idols before Love Live was even a thing
If there's one thing I've learned through the rampant FMP speculation, it's that KyoAni's finances and war-chest are sufficient to allow them to do pretty much anything they want to. Produce three shows at the same time, lead a production committee, build a new studio, whatever.
I forget. Did CG exist before LL or not? Because I thought LL first brought idols into F2P mobage.
Asahina's hips looks so sexy there.
Which should be already done by now.

Seems there is a new illustration of Haruhi coming in Newtype. I don't know if OP pic is the case though, looking forward to it.
If anything, even if a new Haruhi is made, does Japan care enough for it to sell well? Because something tells me even if Haruhi S3 is made, given all what has happened since Disappearance, at best it might sell decently but not spectacularly (i.e. around 5-8k, 10k if it gets lucky). I know it's a spin-off and not a full series, but I guess Yuki-chan's sales was a good indication of how much love there is left for the series; otherwise, it would have sold a lot more.
I don't mind the Yuki show even though its not real Haruhi.
I actually like Haruhi's design in it as its closer the movie alternative with the dark clothes and long hair. I bought a fair bit of the merch last time i was in Japan and its actually not bad for the shitty little stuff. I don't really care that its not a proper sequel in that regards.
I'm pretty sure an actual sequel would get a warmer reception
If S3 is coming, a new novel is also coming, that's for sure. The double combo could really improve the exposition of the brand. I don't know, Haruhi sold like 150k+ copies as a franchise (without taking in consideration Yuki-chan which you can't even consider as a factor to measure Haruhi's popularity because, you know, "Satelight"). I can't imagine such powerful franchise to underperform that badly even after all those years.
IMO, 10k~20k that's for granted.
Nostalgia is a big factor. Haruhi can sell 20k at least if KyoAni knows how to handle it. I mean the movie still has the best income/screening ratio of all late night anime movies.
It's like he and Koizumi switched bodies there.
Koizumi is supposed to be a bit taller
KyoAni idol anime when ?
Where is it from? Most of those shots weren't in the episode.
Wait, why are people speculating this will be idol related?
Because it literally says SOS団アイドルプロジェクト in the image. OP's title.
God I wish regular idolshit was animated like this.
It's the full version without the fake flashbacks, think it was released with the BDs
Guys haruhi s3 is this year don´t lose hope anons
Thanks.
Tanabata in a month, get hyped.
Again?
Who is buying the OST?
Shana was also big in the day but the final season only sold like 4k per volume or so. Not even nostalgia could save it, and I'm saying this as a Shana fan.
Season 3 don't sell really well for obvious reasons.
Still, Haruhi would probably do good. Endless Eight scored 40k+ and Disappearance 100-150k+ (not sure).
Whatever it is it, it's years late, and won't make up for Endless Eight.
To be fair, Shana was nowhere as near as Haruhi in term of sales and popularity. Shana S1 and S2 sold 13k and 12k respectively (with re-releases), Haruhi S1 and S2 sold 77k and 53k each one, even Haruhi-chan sold like 18k. Those are HUGE numbers.
I think this is like this: 50% of the sales comes from the good original story and the other 50% is for Kyoani's great work. If you remove both factors, you get what happened with Yuki-chan.
>you get what happened with Yuki-chan.
How much did it sell anyway?
Around 2k I think
Hello newfag. Disappearance made up for E8 and we all agreed when it came out, you wouldn't know because you weren't here and just spout the E8 ruined Haruhi meme.
>think it was released with the BDs
recap movie
2397 copies
someanithing.com
>cramming this 13 ep series into less than two hours is sure gonna be hard
>yeah, but lets put the episode made entirely of filler in there anyway lmao
Please be Season 3
Please be Season 3
Please be Season 3
Don't hold your breath
I'm holding my breath so much I'll take a Dancing Yuki Nagato as well!
