I believe the series is really cool. The lines are so hardboiled in the books, so it’s very stylish. It’s packed with fastidious details in settings and characters, so I found that to be splendid. Actually a familiar place comes out in the anime, so I felt the historical scenery of the Shouwa era and was deeply impressed.

Unlike the D Agency members, I feel like he’s a far inferior spy (laughs). I felt like the way he dotes on his wife and is filled with humility and wears his heart on his sleeve was worthwhile, so I had fun acting as him.

In the other stories, you are place in the world of the D Agency members. And while they all do their job quite well, episode 10, where I act in, shows the sufferings of a spy. However this episode is quite interesting and the story is the type that would warm your heart. This story is also a favorite of mine, so please look forward to it.

As far as I know the western fandom is really tiny, but I hope it's not tiny enough that absolutely no one will rip and sub it.

Instead every episode is self conclusive and a big letdown.

Same here. Most anime tend to bore me after the first half, especially since most series are rather SoLish so any kind of change or development is rare in the first place and you can only watch some hijink so many times until you stop caring. The middle episodes of JG aren't as good as the first ones but it's still more gripping than 90% of the rest I currently watch.

Personally I feel that the middle episodes are better than the first few.

If I understood it correctly it basically went like this:
>Episode protag guy guy was looking for Yuuki
>He thought Akira was Yuuki so he asked servant guy about Akira
>After telling protag guy about Akira, the servant told Yuuki and the D agency
>D agency boys arrest protag guy and end up letting him go when they take his ring
>It turns out the whole Akira backstory was set up by Yuuki as bait for the people who try to find out his real identity
>Moral of the story: Yuuki is better than you

Doesn't the preview in the end of every episode show the spy who will be featured? That's what always happen. He is in the end of the episode, after the ED.

I literally thought that Yuuki's backstory was true up until the point where he ran to England, and then used someone(to which he did plastic surgery) to replace him in the bed.

Because when he stepped in the room to comfort the old man he had the same haircut as the one when he departed.

That's the charm of the show, everything is a huge keikaku doori and you have to deal with them having the upper hand from the very beginning.

On the other hand, you couldn't really pull off this sort of story with one of those super agents with no past. Although the microdot bit was really one epic fail from this aaron price.
