Music, voice acting, and sound in general.

Not sure it's a competition but the anime is basically a shot for shot remake of the manga.

The manga has so much cinematic art it's unreal.

All the studio had to do was copy it exactly and add a god tier soundtrack w/ A-list japanese voice actors and voila
That said the anime does has some hilarious moments that weren't conveyed as well through the manga.

The music thing is really true, I just watched the second episode of Tanaka-kun where Miyano becomes more listless and the music that pops in adds so much to where I can't imagine the scene being nearly as good in the Manga.

Motion

Nice voice.

But why post a character with a shit voice then?

a GOOD anime has
>music
>animation
>fight choreography
>VAs
>colors
>OPs
>sound
>rarely, oh so rarely, good fillers or extra content
of course, most adaptations fall short of the mark in some way, although one of the aspects may be good enough to make it worthwhile

good anime originals are always better than manga

>good anime
>fight choreography being a requirement

You like naruto don't you?

Its harder to read while drunk

what's wrong with liking fight choreography?

naruto has pretty generic choreography except for the last fight in the first anime

I like martial arts, one of the reasons i got into anime in the first place

He said good filler tho.

Nothing is wrong with good fight choreography.

Anime's don't need fights to be good animes.

Well, the Naruto filler is better than the series itself.

Voice acting and music is it's main strong point, when it's an adaption though it always tends to suffer from pacing issues.

When did you last watch naruto?

glorious sountracks

I'm pretty sure OP wanted to know why we individually like anime more than manga, if we do in fact prefer anime

I like fights, and i like those fights to have good choreography. different strokes for different folks

>anime's
>animes

Jesus Christ, sort your literacy out, retard. You're the last one who should be criticizing anyone on a board composed of communication via text.

y-you're joking

More value if your goal is not to just burn through material. You can run through manga's chapter in like 10 minutes and that's more than enough to read it, pick out little details on art and truly appreciate it.

However anime will always take 20 minutes from you per episode and you can appreciate its animation, its colors, its voice acting.

I would rather have asses in motion than not, but this doesn't mean that motionless ass is bad.

It's 02:33, I'm tired as hell and I've never been good at typing sentences fast.

Besides you're diverting attention to my grammar because you disagree with my point I assume?

Watch you don't cut yourself on your own edges

The soundtrack I think: emotional, sad, exciting...

Not him, but I stopped watching during the infite tsukyomi(?) filler, did it get good afterwards? If so, can someone tell me at which episode the filler ends?

>you made a typo therefore your whole argument is invalid now
yeah, don't be retarded

Soundtracks

An amazing soundtrack can bring a good anime up to god level.

Ex. Ping Pong, Samurai X Trust & Betrayal

Stopped watching 190 eps into shipp so I wouldn't know :)

Oops replied to myself instead of you

rapid cuts between two or more different scenes.
This would require a lot of different panels in a manga so would not be done.

In general I'd say that movie, OVA and some of the upper tier tv episodes all have potential to be better at telling the same story than manga, but may or may not be.

For example there is not a single Berserk anime that is as good at telling Berserk as the Berserk manga.

On the other hand it's probably quite unambiguous that Ghost in the Shell the movie did it better than Ghost in the Shell the manga.

for tv shows with average budget or talent or below average budget or talent, I think it is very unlikely that they will do a better job than the manga that they are adapting.

Fuck I've misread this entire thread.

Manga is something you look at whereas anime is something you look at and listen to.

Anime adaptions of manga tend to leave out a lot of smaller details in a plot that the manga keeps in, though, and a lot of anime adaptions don't really follow their manga source material faithfully and devolve into glorified fanfiction when they stray away from the plot of the source material.

Expressing the vitality in each movement of a character such that you realize their is tension within the environment. You no longer thing of the setting as a collection of objects but a situation. there could be a bomb about to go off, a fire rampaging in a building, an earthquake. it affects your sense of time and urgency that static images can't convey i'd say, at least not as effectively without a lot of talent.

and having a sense of depth helps with getting the point across with scale. if you see a building foreshortening to oblivion you get the sense of what type of high stakes turmoil is going down. or if a piece of jewelry is shining in the sunlit cadenza you take heed of the decadent tone behind each gesture. a slow movement of the hand, a swift missile blowing up a neighborhood. each of them in animation transitions you from a calm relatable tale to one of betrayal and sorrow.

pic isn't really related other than that it's good animation.

Ass that jiggles.

I guess this is semi-related question but should I watch Prison School or just read the manga?

Anyone else refuse to read the manga like an idiot just because there is an adaptation/sequel coming out?

It has to be read to be fully appreciated

Sometimes animation, then of course soundtrack and voice acting, in other cases style or coloring.
It all depends.

>Anime's
>animes
I was overlooking the
>fight choreography
But you are a fucking homosexual, get out.

>:)
Stop shitposting.
